A couple weeks have passed since I met Hiroshi. My wounds are healed, and I'm back to my usual "training". It was getting late in the day, so I decided to stop for the night and rest. My "rest" was very short lived because a man with black hair and a red kimono appeared. He was human, I could tell by his scent, but there were no human villages nearby. He didn't seem to notice me. The man looked as if he had been running because he was breathing heavily. The man walked towards my spot on the ground but stopped dead in his tracks. He had finally noticed I was there. "What's a kid doing out here?" he asked bluntly. "Training." I said, glaring. He stared at me for a long while before sitting in front of me. "You're not human." He stated. "Nope, and I'm surprised you haven't tried to attack me yet, human." I said rather coldly. He looked at the ground before saying anything. "You're a half-demon, aren't you? That's why you thought I'd attack you." He said almost kindly. What was this guys deal? He's human, but he's not like any human I've met, besides Mother that is. "Yeah, so?" I replied. Then it hit me, "you're a half-demon, too, aren't you?" He looked me directly in the eyes but didn't respond. His gaze was filled with anger and sadness, but also with understanding. That's all the response I needed. "I'll keep your secret." I stated quietly. He looked at the ground again, but I knew he knew what I was talking about. "My name is Kaya, by the way." I stated kindly. The man looked up to meet my gaze before answering, "InuYasha."

InuYasha left just before dawn, I can understand why he did. No half demon likes to be vulnerable, it makes them an easier target for demons. I hope I get to meet him again one day, because half-demons understand others like them better than anyone else. After the sun fully shone through the trees, I got up and continued on my journey.
