A couple of weeks had passed since I left InuYasha and his group. Everything was fairly peaceful, with no demons, no humans, and no Naraku. It was nice to have a break. All of that changed when I caught the familiar scent of panther demons. I was worried at first because I thought Koneko was in trouble, but I soon learned differently. Roughly 100 feet from where I stood, I watched a small group of full panther demons ran past the forest. I decided to follow them because it had been a long time since they left the East. See, my Father and InuYasha's father forced them out of the West and into my father's territory of the East after the Panther Tribe's master was killed. It seems after Father's death they've gotten brave. I waited until they were pretty far away before I took off in the direction they were heading. It took me longer than I should have to realize where they were headed and I started to panic, causing me to run faster. I slowed down when Kaede's Village was in sight but picked up speed once again when I caught Shippo's scent. InuYasha's group was there in the village. When I caught up with them, Miroku's friend, Hachi, was explaining about the Panther Demons. About the time he finished his explanation, one of the demons jumped down and asked about a priestess living in the village. Kaede emerged from her hut and I went to stand next to Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. They were looking for Kagome so they could gain Jewel Shards. The main demon summoned several of her comrades and after a short conversation, a small battle ensued. Soon after they disappeared, literally in a puff of smoke. I knew they'd be back, and I also knew I couldn't let them terrorize the countryside, so it looks like I had to work with InuYasha and his friends. This is going to be interesting, to say the least.

InuYasha and Kagome returned the next morning. When they did, we were there to greet them, but not exactly the greeting I was expecting. I can understand them trying to get Kagome to go back home but this was just ridiculous. After everything was explained to InuYasha and Kagome, I understood a bit more. Their insurgence 50 years ago was after the fiasco with Kikyo and InuYasha, so it makes sense that they would make their move now. With that thought, the Panther demons appeared again. I finally got a good look at them. The girl had red hair and wore orange clothes and the man was tall and had black hair and wore dark blue clothes. They stated that they wanted Kagome causing InuYasha and me to get in a defensive stance. No way were they getting her. The female demon recognized InuYasha and soon a battle ensued. InuYasha and I went after the female while Sango and Miroku fought the male. None of us were faring well but we weren't going to quit. When I heard Sango yell Kagome's name, I turned slightly to see her fall to the ground and noticed a third demon not far behind her. Almost as soon as I turned back toward the demon, the male demon stood straight up with an evil laugh. Lightning began to swirl around him and before any of us could react he sent out a blast of blue lightning. When the lightning cleared, we were all on the ground. That's when I notice the male demon had Kagome under his arm. The lead female told InuYasha that if he wanted Kagome back he'd have to come to their castle. InuYasha stood up in a dead sprint, but before he could catch the lead three more panther demons blocked his path just long enough for the lead demons to make a getaway. Shippo took off after InuYasha, and I did the same catching up to the two easily.

After a while of running, we ran into Koga. As much as I don't like the wolf demons, I wish they'd just try and work together, Kagome's life is more important than their stupid love triangle. A moment later, Koga left, and we took off again. We caught up to Koga and the Panthers in a canyon but lost them almost as quickly at the edge of the canyon. After several moments of Koga and InuYasha yelling into the canyon, Koga gave InuYasha an idea, unintentionally. InuYasha pulled Tetsusaiga from its sheath and I watched it transform and begin to change color. He swung the sword and a wind scar was released from the now blood red blade. Once the dust cleared, the canyon wall was gone. Koga ran past InuYasha, who just yelled after the wolf. I stayed behind with InuYasha and waited for the rest of his group to catch up. When they finally did, we took off and soon found a village. It was large and quite abandoned. After we had checked several of the houses, the panthers' scent came into my senses and I growled. Soon after InuYasha asked about Kagome, the Panther's attacked and it didn't end well. They used some kind of fancy smoke that overwhelmed our sense of smell. A moment later, a blue flash cleared the smoke and standing with his sword drawn was none other than Sesshomaru.
