We had tried everything to get through the barrier but nothing seemed to work. About the time we were going to give up, I felt the barrier drop. I looked at InuYasha waiting for him to notice. He had heard the sound of a waterfall and took off, with the rest of us not too far behind. When we reached Kagome, InuYasha and Kagome stared at each other, before InuYasha started looking and sniffing around. Kagome informed us that Lady Kikyo had been there but had left despite Kagome's requests that she stay to see InuYasha. He looked relieved, and Kagome asked if he was going to go after Lady Kikyo. He just replied by asking if something happened between the two. Honestly, I was worried that Kagome might snap at any moment. Her entire mood was different than when Lady Kikyo normally is brought up. She seemed almost resentful or angry and I wasn't going to push. Unfortunately, InuYasha didn't share that sentiment and decided to push until she snapped landing InuYasha and I face-first into the dirt. He needs to learn to stop when things become tense.

We decided to set up camp near the waterfall when it got dark. To be honest, we were all worried about Kagome, but InuYasha seemed more in the mixed emotions stage. Sango suggested he go apologize, but I wasn't entirely sure what he needed to apologize for; other than being a two-timer, that is. I hated seeing Kagome look so sad and it's not like I'd be much help. I'm just as happy as InuYasha that Lady Kikyo is alive. InuYasha went and sat with his back to Kagome until she lifted her head. She again suggested he go after Lady Kikyo, but instead, he told her that he had met Saint Hijiri at the base of the mountain earlier. He said that the miasma in Lady Kikyo's body had spread and she wouldn't last much longer. Kagome then informed him that she had purified the miasma and that Lady Kikyo should be alright now. I silently sighed with relief, because that meant she wasn't dying, just restoring her strength. What surprised me more than that was when InuYasha said he wouldn't go after Lady Kikyo because he knew she was okay since Kagome saved her. It seemed the two had made up, that is until InuYasha's face changed and he asked Kagome to take back what she had said about hating him earlier. I knew he was lying when he said that her words didn't affect him. It made me laugh slightly because I knew Kagome was going to be okay and everything was returning to normal.
