Babysitting an angry and injured InuYasha inside a shielded hut was not how I wanted to spend my time. To make it worse, Shippo just kept agitating InuYasha and I had had enough. "Will you two shut up!?" I yelled, taking the two by surprise. "It's not my fault. Shippo started it." InuYasha yelled. "I did not." Shippo yelled back. "I swear, one more time and I will beat you both senseless." I growled. There was a moment of silence, before Royakan came looking for InuYasha, again. Kaede and Miroku were holding up the barrier that surrounded themselves and the hut where I was locked with InuYasha and Shippo. The moment I felt the barrier drop, I knew we were in for it. When the demon attacked, I ran towards the forest following Naraku's scent. He was the one behind the demon. Pieces were starting to fall into place as I ran. Naraku held a grudge against InuYasha, but I wasn't sure why. I figured I would know soon enough. I stopped when I heard Naraku's voice, "I see you lied to me." "I gave you part of the truth, which is what you've been doing with me. So, explain yourself!" I commanded and drew my sword. He did nothing but give me an evil cackle. I listened, my mind and sword still focused on Naraku. He didn't advance he just stayed there in the clearing giving me an evil smirk, watching the way I had come. That's when I noticed the others were coming our way.

"Who the hell are you?" InuYasha yelled at Naraku. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Naraku," Naraku stated. "Why do you hold a grudge towards InuYasha?" I asked, barely above a whisper. I wasn't sure he had heard me until he started explaining who he truly was. "I was born of the bandit Onigumo who sold his soul to a hoard of demons in order to get what he desired. Thus I, Naraku, was born." I had already figured out what he had just said on my own, so what was he trying to explain so cryptically? I got my answer. "I was the one who attacked InuYasha and Kikyo, turning them against each other and causing their hatred. That hatred caused the Sacred Jewel to become beautifully tainted with malice. Before I could steal back the Jewel, Kikyo took it with her to the Nether World." Naraku explained, his evil smirk never leaving his face. I audibly growled at his statement. So, he's the one who caused all of this. InuYasha's attack on Naraku brought me out of my thoughts, and that's when I noticed it: the spider burn scar. So, everything he said was true. I felt someone grab me as I saw a wave of destruction start from where Naraku had been standing. It had been Naraku himself who had grabbed me, I guess he thought I was still useful. At that moment, though, my enemy was no longer InuYasha. My enemy was Naraku.
