I had been traveling for a few days when I ran into none other than Kagome and InuYasha. This time not only was Shippo with them, but there was also Miroku, a monk of questionable stature. They gave me some interesting information about Naraku. Apparently, he can shapeshift into other people, and he cursed Miroku's grandfather and following generations with a wind tunnel in their right hand. Something tells me Naraku's not the saint he's trying to paint himself to be. All I know is that if I find out he's the one who really took Kikyo's life, he's not going to get away with his own.

After my little chat with the group, I left to find Naraku. I thought maybe, I could find out his plan and put an anonymous wrench into it until I found out more about him. Lucky for me, he needed my assistance again. I didn't like what he asked me to do; the last thing I wanted to do was help him track down Sesshomaru. As much as I tried to avoid InuYasha, Sesshomaru was at the top of my 'Never Cross Paths With' list for good reason. Yet here I was, trying to sniff him out with Naraku jumping from tree to tree behind me. That's when I caught the scent I was looking for. I whistled to get Naraku's attention and he disappeared leaving me in the middle of the forest, so I began following his scent until I made it to the edge of the forest. "You can use this arm to successfully wield Tetsusaiga as you've wanted," Naraku explained to Sesshomaru. I'm not sure who was more surprised, me or the imp that accompanied Sesshomaru; when he accepted the arm from Naraku. "Also take this, it will be of use to you. It can be used against one of InuYasha's companions to block his wind tunnel." Naraku handed him a hive of his insects. Looks like I've figured out his plan; he intends to have Sesshomaru kill InuYasha using the Tetsusaiga. That's why he needed that arm, it was for Sesshomaru so he could get past the Sword's barrier. Naraku's voice brought me out of my thoughts, "Come, Kaya. I'm going to take you to my master's castle." I noticed Sesshomaru was gone, so I made a choice, "Naraku, would it be alright if I returned home? Your plan is already in motion and it seems collecting the Jewel Shards will take time." "Yes. I assume you will find the castle on your own then?" I nodded in response. His scent disappeared and I took off at full speed trying to catch Sesshomaru's scent once again. I had to warn them, no matter what.

Unfortunately, it seems, I made it too late. InuYasha and Miroku were badly injured, Kagome and Shippo were relatively unharmed, and Sesshomaru was nowhere in sight. This was my fault, entirely. If only I had figured it out sooner, maybe I could've stopped this. When I ran to InuYasha's side, Kagome was already there. "Kaya, what are you doing here?" Shippo asked. "I overheard Sesshomaru and Naraku talking while I was looking for Jewel Shards and came as fast as I could. I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner." I apologized. I was going to hear it later, from both sides but for right now it was best for all of us to get the hell out of there. So, we headed towards Kaede's village.
