“We need to talk,” Justin said as he walked into the dressing room as I got sorted out to do an interview together for Jonathan Ross to promote the tour and single.
I could tell by the tone of his voice that the things he wanted to talk about were serious. I turned on the chair to look at him as he shut the door behind him. “What’s up?” I asked awkwardly.
“What do you mean ‘what’s up’?” he asked, sounding pissed off.
“Justin..”
“I’m sorry,” he said, shaking his head as he slouched against the door. “But how do you think I’m supposed to feel and act when you go and change the whole of your set to sing a song that was obviously aimed at your ex?”
I shrugged my shoulders, unsure of how to reply or whether I should even reply at all.
“Exactly, Sammy,” he sighed.
“I’m sorry?”
“Don’t be,” he said. “I’m the one who should be sorry.”
“Why?” I asked.
“I’m sorry that I can’t make your feelings for him just switch off.”
“I don’t love him,” I said instantly, trying to defend myself.
“You’re saying one thing but your actions are saying another,” he said, looking directly at me.
“Justin, I am always going to have feelings for him,” I argued. “He’s Katy’s father and my first love and more things have happened between me and him that most couples go through in a life time. So for those reasons alone, I will always have feelings for him. But those feelings aren’t love anymore. George has moved on and I’ve moved on.”
“Have you really though?” he asked. “Have you really moved on from him?”
“Yes,” I pleaded.
“Prove it.”
“How?” I asked.
“Move in with me.”
I looked at him in shock. “Move.. move in with you?” I asked, stuttering slightly.
“Yes,” Justin smiled to me. “Why don’t you and Katy move into my apartment with me? The apartment itself is not permanent but if you really have moved on from him then we’ll sort something out so I’m in England for good.”
“Okay,” I nodded.
“Okay?”
“Okay.”

“Now our next guests are two of the most talented people we have ever had on this show and they’ve recently combined their talents to basically dominate the world,” Jonathan Ross began as he introduced us.
Standing backstage in the wing, getting ready to go on, Justin smiled at me. I nervously smiled back at him. The show was being aired live – this was my first live interview on national television. Usually interviews weren’t live so I didn’t have to worry too much about saying the wrong thing but now I had to watch everything I did or said to make sure it didn’t offend anything or anyone.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Justin Bieber and Sammy Jones!”
As we both walked into the studio side by side, the audience that was filled with teenage girls began to scream Justin’s name. It didn’t surprise me too much as teenage girls would always be screaming for George and the boys whenever we went somewhere.
