Finding Myself in The BeastWorld

2. Dinner

Paige Pov:

After cleaning myself and bandaging myself. I got dressed in the fur dress Harvey made me. I became a bit more comfortable around Harvey enough to sit with him.

"Are you hungry? Will you be okay if I go hunt?" Harvey asks me with a bit of concern on his face.

"I'm fine. Thank you." I tell him shyly.

"You need to eat something. Do you want me to get some fruit?" Harvey still insisting. I don't want to make him do even more for me. Why waste his time on helping me. At this point, my stomach growls

"Whatever is easier. I'm sorry." I look down at my toes. He's so nice, will he hate me if he has to do to much for me? What if he is just pitying me.
I look over at him. He has a soft smile. His eyes looking directly at me.

"Are you sure ask me and I'll try to get it for you." He smiles at me a bit more.

"Um.. a blue bunny?" I give a slight giggle.

"Even a blue bunny." Harvey laughs.

"Paige.." I whisper.

"Paige? Is that your name? It's a beautiful name for a beautiful female like you." He's sweet even though he's lying. He's so sweet. I hope he gets an amazing mate. Maybe? Haa... no, that would be more of a tragedy if he was stuck with me. I'm a horrible thing.
My smile vanishing.

"Paige, you know your beautiful right." Harvey gives me a concerned look.

"I'm not, though. I'm a mess. Just a horrible, worthless th..." I say but get interrupted.

"No, Paige. Who told you that? Well, whoever did tell you that is clearly blind. Do you know what I see? I see a young female who has been hurt. Someone tried to break you. Probably because you have a sweetness to you. Your eyes tell me you so badly want to trust someone who won't hurt you. Your kind and thoughtful. You're the type of female who can probably get any mate you wanted. Yet here you are sitting here, not knowing how amazing you are.. anyways I have a blue bunny to catch." Harvey smiles at me.
My eyes are tearing up from what Harvey said. He views me like that? He doesn't know anything about me, though. If he did, he wouldn't say that.

"I.. thank you.." I tear up and cover my eyes with my arm.

"Paige.. I'm sorry I didn't mean it to hurt you." Harvey starts freaking out. I hug him. I hug him and cry. I need this just once. Please hold me back.
Harvey's arms wrap around me, and his hand lightly rubs my back.

"I'm not upset.. thank you, Harvey."
I hold on to him for dear life sobbing like a weak little child.

"I'm here, Paige. I'm here. Okay? I'll get your blue bunny tomorrow. I'll just find some fruit, okay? That way, I won't be gone hardly at all." I nod in his arms. Whoever sent me here. Thank you.. even though I'm broken. Thank you for letting me know what this feels like. Even if I die after I'm great full. I stopped crying after a while. I hiccup from crying so much. Harvey gave me a small wood bowl of warm water. I thank him. He leads me to the fur bed, and I sit on it. He grabs a fur and wraps it around me.

"Here I'll be right back, okay Paige?" He asked me. And I nod. He wipes under my eyes with his thumbs. He gets up and runs out the door.
Gosh, I'm such a crybaby. I need to be strong. I'm a idiot.

I lay back in the fur bed and start looking at the ceiling. While I'm waiting for Harvey, I hear some beastman knock on the door. I peek out of the hide door and see a wood door with a bigger room. Oh, am I in Harvey's room? I hear another knock, and I run as fast as my hurt leg will let me go to Harvey's bed of furs. I pull the other fur over my head and hide.

"Hey Harvey, are you in there?" An unknown guy yells out. I begin to shiver.

"Oh hey there, Russ. Are you here for your females medicine?" Harvey asks.
I hear them talking, but it's muffled.
Then I heard Harvey open the door.

"I'll get it, but please, if you can, stay out there." Harvey asks the guy.
Aww, thank you, Harvey.
He hands the beastman whatever it is, and the door closes.
The fur I'm under gets moved up, and I see Harvey peeking at me.

"He's gone. Nobody is here." Harvey tells me with a smile. I move the fur off my head and sit up with a groan. Ouch it hurts like a bitch.
Harvey helps me sit up and hands me a bunch of fruit. It's wrapped in a big green leaf. I open it and see all types of fruit. One in piticular is a dark blue fruit. I look at it curiously hold it up and look at Harvey.

"It's called a blue flower fruit." He tells me.

"Why is it called that? It's round and looks nothing like a flower." I ask while examining the fruit.
Harvey put his hand out so I hand it to him. He starts peeling it.
He hands me the peeled fruit. It peels like a banana and the innards looks like a dragon fruit but blueish. Huh, it does look like a flower. Like a blue purplish flower.

"See? It's a hard to find fruit unless you know where to look. I figured since I couldn't get you that blue bunny I'll get you blue flowers you can eat." He hands it to me. And I start giggling about the bunny.

"You know there's no blue bunny.." I tell him giggling.

"Sure there is I'll find it." He smiles. After I eat he helps me lay down and I feel bad for taking his bed.

"Harvey.. can.. ha.. can I get some water." Harvey looked at me encouraging me but when I ask he smiles. I put my head down. Damn I'm such a wimp. I wanted to ask if he can be a leopard and sleep next to me. I just can't give him that hope. I'm so broken what if I can't be fixed. What if I can't give him love like he deserves.
Harvey comes back with a bowl of water. I thank him. And he nods. He turns into his leopard form and lays by the fur bed. Slowly I fall asleep.
I wake sitting up fast screaming. I look around breathing heavy. Harvey's rubbing my back.

"I'm here your okay." He whispers soothing me. So I hug him pull him to the bed. He lays down silently with me. He rubs my hair as I lay my head on his shoulder. We fall asleep like that.
