59. Kings Fires

I'm ready for the Bonfire.. another bonfire again. Lucien carries me out. Luckily, it's not raining tonight. Damian stays home with our egg. I kiss him.

"I'll be back soon, love." I tell him.

"Okay Paige, you have fun. Nobody should mess with you." He licks my bottom lip. I giggle, licking my lips.
We started to head to the area that was told to us. But we are on a higher hill, so we see the field with fires all around. My hubby's head that way. Harvey made sure to bring some vegetables and spices. I hold onto Lucien as we find a spot. Our own fire. We see Rosa and Holly at their own fire. Rosa's talking to her mates, teasing them. Holly is holding Elodie. I grin. Cute! Elodie is so precious. I rub Lucien's hair.

"Kaden, do you know who's cub it is yet?" I ask him.

"No .. I can't put my finger on it.." which is weird.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I'll tell you later." Kaden winks. I nod with a smile. Still, it's killing me to know.
We take a seat in the front. Harvey starts cooking. We see the Kings fires in the front with their mates and cubs who haven't been chosen by a female yet. In the back are single males as well. I hum excited to eat. Holly and Rosa are a bit down from us. I guess we get to sit in the kings fires because of Lucien.

"Paige, do you want fruit while the food is cooking?" Shuu asks me.

"Sure hun." He starts to hand me peeled fruit. I munch on them they are really juicy. I see two bear males walking to Holly. I grin at her.

"Hi female, i was just wondering if i can be your male." A Fox male asked me.

"No.. I am not accepting any more males." I leave it at that. He nods sadly and walks away. Winston grumbles, as does Curtis. I giggle at that.

"You! Move this is my spot!" Eudora tells me. My hubby's growl and Hiss.

"You could have most definitely had this spot if you came here earlier than me." I tell her honestly.

"No, I demand to have this spot." She says.

"And why do you demand this spot, Eudora? I don't see you mated to a king."

"I don't see a king with you either. Oh, don't tell me a king feral." She snickers at me.

"Well, my Fox mate is a king." I nonchalantly tell her. I'm trying to get her to go away.

"Your Fox mate? I think you're lying. The king Fox is supposed to be powerful. Yet yours is a no stripe." I pinch the bridge of my nose. Sighing.. tired of it. I look at Lucien, who is growling at her males. Eudora's males growl back.
I look at Lucien to just do whatever I'm over this she's so rude and smelly.

"Just get her gone, please?" I ask Lucien. He nods at me and puts me in Curtis's arms. He gets up roars loudly, puffing out his tails. A lot of the fox males cower. Eudora is pushed behind her mates.

"Leave." Lucien calmly says Eudoras mates pick her up, running to another fire pit. Lucien sits back down beside me and Curtis. That's when the Ape King walks to us.

"King of the Fox Clan. It's an honor. I have never had the pleasure of meeting the great Fox from the Forbidden City. I was curious. If we can make an alliance." The Ape King says.
Lucien studies him.

"You must excuse me. I'm not trying to be rude, but I can not. I will with my mates family, but outsiders are not allowed. That's been the rules since the city was made. Tiger King and Wolf King, I would agree. Maybe if you did an alliance with them as the middle agreement, but I can not let outsiders in. I hope you understand. Also, we do not plan on being here too long. We are waiting for our cub to hatch. I do appreciate your help for Paige, so in doing that, I will pay you back." The Ape King nods.

"Yes, I understand. I do wish to speak about a different kind of alliance." Lucien's eyebrow goes up in curiosity.
The Ape King asks if the Forbidden City would do trade with the four kings. Lucien nods.

"Only if we have a Fox from our City transport the items both ways." The Ape King nods.

"That sounds like a deal. I'll send someone to speak on my behalf tomorrow. Does this work?" Ape King asks.

"No, I prefer you and the other Kings, so we have oath. Lucien says.

"Then we will do that tomorrow." Lucien nods. By this time our food is cooked. We all eat. After a little while, we decided it's time to go home. So that's exactly what we do.
When we get inside, Curtis carries me to the room.
I don't get very much sleep as true yo his words.

~next morning~

I yawn stretching. I notice it's Damian, Curtis, Muir, and I in the room. I yawn once again. Shuu walks in, smiling.

"Paige, we got your morning bath ready, and we have a meeting to go to."

"Okay, sounds good." I stand up with a sore back. I walk to Shuu, and he picks me up, noticing I'm hurting. His ears go down.

"It's okay, love. I'll feel better after a nice bath." I hug him, touching his ears again with a smirk. I know this riles him up.
We go to the bathroom. I strip and get in. Relaxing in the hot water. Shuu gets in with me rubbing my body. Ah.. It feels so good.

"Shuu, what type of things does your mother like?" I ask him.

"She likes anything pretty much made for her." I grin okay. I can make her a set of clothes tomorrow and jewelry to go with it. I'll do the same for Rosa and Holly. But first I have to finish making my hubby's clothes. I have four more to finish. I know my hubby's have been making clothes for our cub when she's hatched. I caught them. That's also why they are drying more fruits for her, too. I seen Shuu making her beautiful wooden animal toys too. They are all so talented.
