62. Ready

Paige's Pov:

We finally know what we're making. I have yeast made, so we do a few loafs of bread. We make bison steaks with grilled peppers, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and little dough pies made from figs with butter.
Rosa finally showed up, making us laugh cause she came over with a messy hair situation. Holly and I helped her fix it for her. Her short hair did not want to stay down. I make sure all the furs in the living room and dining room are clean.

"Paige, honestly, I don't clean my house this much for even myself. Why are you going crazy with this? She's our mother but I'm sure she doesn't care this much." Rosa taps her fingers on the stone counter, looking at me.

"Well.. I mean, this will be her first impression of me.." I explain.
I feel warm arms wrap around me.

"Paige, she's met you, and she's accepted you. You don't need to do all this although I'm very happy you want Mother to be happy. You need to not stress for our cubs." I nod. Shuu rubs my stomach. He's right..
Holly even nods, pointing a wooden spoon at me.

"That's right! So sit your butt down and take a break she won't even be here in a few hours." I chuckle. We all go sit around the coffee table relaxing. I cuddle with my hubby's, who are all sitting with me. I hope my hubby's are okay.. I miss them, and now im wanting them home badly. I touch my marks lightly.

"They'll be back soon, Paige. Don't worry." Damian rubs my head. He hands me my egg. Aww.. I cuddle my egg, making sure she's warm. My only surviving cub. Soon, you'll have siblings too. So you better hatch. I kiss the egg.
Then we hear the thunder outside. Caspian and Lucien go outside.

"What's going on?" I ask Parker to go too.

"Were getting more wood this might be a long storm." He tells us.

"Oh, okay, thank you, Parker, for explaining." He laughs. Elodie walks by trying to climb Shuu. Shuu shifts and gets low on the ground so Elodie can climb his back, giggling. He will be a great father. They all will.

Rosa's Pov:

"So I've heard this storm is going to be pretty bad. It flooded a lot of tribes too. Like the whole peacock tribe is headed here." I tell them both. Seeing their mouth open wide like they'll be sucking some dick. Yep..

"Yeah, I heard that too from you earlier this morning when I went to go get something from my house, remember?" Hmm, do I?

~this morning~

"Hey, auntie!" I spot my aunt walking to her house as I'm peeing in my front yard.

"Uh hi Rosa." She yells back.

"Alec told me this storm is going to be as if the God's are pissing down on us!" I yell out to her.

"I did not..." Alec pipes in.

"Shush! Yeah, so be careful it's gonna be a warm storm like fresh morning piss and lots of lighting strikes!" I yell to Holly, trying to find something to wipe my tacos with.

"Uh okay thanks Rosa!" Aunty tells me. I nod, waving the fur rag Alec handed me. Oh yeah, that's right.. I wipe.. ahh.. yep, done.

~back to present~

"Oh yeah! That's right, I did, didn't I?" I get jump attacked by my young cub on the side of my face.

"Oh my god!" Holly gets up. I grab my cub. Looking at him.

"I'm okay.. hey cub, how would you like to be bald cause you keep pouncing your mother? I'll shave you." I give him the stink eye as he whines and puts his tail between his legs. That's right! I put his down, and he darts off to his dad.

"Don't worry my rose, he won't do it again." Bart tells me.

"Damn right, he won't, or I'll make him clean the sand pit when he's older. Im sure your father'swill love the break, " I laugh. My cubs are just as sarcastic as I am lite shits. Love them so much. Paige just laughs, and my aunty is crying laughing. I yawned me being lazy today after a good night of humpty dumpty took it out of me. I can tell we all miss our mates, plus we're all equally as worried.. God knows I know that feeling. So I know a way.

"Paige, we should all get dressed and ready to see Mother." Holly nods, too.

"That's a good idea, Rosa." I nod. Of course it is..

"Well then, let's do this. Roy, you brought my outfit?"

"Of course, my rose bud." He hands me a beautiful beaver dress and a red fox shawl. I nod. Aww, my braver dress this was made for me by Bart before I accepted him. It means a lot to me. He's, after all, my first mate, he was my guardian before I was of age. I remember all the fruits he brought me that had slobber on them. He's so cute. And the fox shawl Alec made me. I love it so much that he made it after I gave birth. I rub the fur on it. It's silky. Travis hands me a bracelet he made me. I got this from him when he destroyed my garden. It has a few carved flowers on it. I go to Paiges bathroom to get dressed. I take my clothes off. Looking down, I see my necklace that I always hide. I touch it.

"Are you okay?" Clark asks me. I smile. Of course, I am dummy. I miss you.

"I'm here for you, Rosa." I nod with a sad smile. My necklace is the most precious of all. My husband's soul stone. When he died, Bart found it. It's Clark. Now I know usually they can control you, but Clark never has. He's just happy to feel me and I him. I'm so happy that I have my husband, whom I lost so long ago. He told me what happened.. how they died.. that Melody was still alive. I touch a tear that starts to streak down. Wiping it off. I breathe out.

"Rosa, don't cry again. We will always be here, okay?"

"Okay." I nod. Bart comes in and hugs me.

"Rosa, don't cry. I'll find the rest of them, okay?"

"Okay, Bart." I hug him.

"Barts, right, don't be sad, when your sad, I feel sad, and just be happy."

"Okay, guys, I get it. I'll be happy, okay?" I chuckle. With a bitter smile.. I'm still getting over the loss of my husband's and my cubs. I miscarriaged after they died. They were Clark's. He never held it against me. I wish the beast God would reincarnate them.
