89. Craving

Paige's Pov:

Everyone eventually left. The male fox cub has been at Faith's side this whole time.
I still feel stuffed from dinner. My hubby's are all home except Harvey and Azrael. Gage is sleeping in the living room. I lay here restless..

"Okay, my love, what is going on?" Damian asks me.

"I'm worried about Harvey.." Damian kisses my forehead. Pulling me close into his arms.

"Harvey is smarter than any of us." He says. Lucien starts to talk, but Damian throws a pillow at his face. Lucien lays back down like nothing happened.

"Harvey knows what's happening usually before any of us. He knows medicine. He's three stripes. He's strong, Paige. The least male you have to worry about is Harvey. Yes, he's been hurt a lot. But he's gained strengths in his own experiences. He can fight and protect our family. He's going to be fine. Plus, he has a lot to live for." I hug Damian.
I hug him so close, nodding. He's right. I need to trust my hubby's that they are capable. I do trust that they know what's best. I finally am able to sleep.

The next morning, I wake up feeling sicker than a dog. I feel completely nauseated. More than usual. Even the mention of food makes me sick.. every little smell throws me off. I just can't today. I decided to lay in bed today.

"Paige, do you want that tea?" Curtis asks me.

"I'll try.." I tell him barely able to even talk because the nausea is that bad. I feel if I even so much as move I'll puke. Curtis leaves the room. I hear my hubby's doing other things in the house. Faith is being cared for by Winston today. My hubby's are still fixing up the yard outside. Thankfully, eventually, chocolate. I gave them the basic idea of how to make chocolate.
Curtis comes in with a cup of tea with that crappy fruit that makes nausea subside, but holding it down is a whole other thing. I take a sip.. nope!

"Paige..." Curtis carries me to the bathroom to puke. Ug.. I hate being miserable like this. I get washed up with much help from Curtis. At this point, I have absolutely no shame cause I feel like crap. He takes me to the bedroom to lay down. Curtis lays down with me cuddling.

"In two weeks, Paige, I need to hibernate.. I already feel it." I nod, rubbing his hand.

"I'll miss you and our cubs." Curtis whispers in my ear.

"I'll miss you too." I lean my head back on him. I fall asleep, leaning basically on Curtis. we both sleep in a comfortable silence.
I wake up feeling a bit better.

"Curtis, can I try that tea again? I think my stomach settled a bit more now." I ask him.

"Sure, my light. I'll just carry you with me." He lifts me up and brings me to the living room. Kaden lays down a huge pile of soft furs. I giggle. How sweet. I see him roll onto the furs, lying down. Curtis hands me to Kaden as Curtis covers us with a blanket. Winston brings Faith over to lay down with us. Now Curtis goes to make tea again.

"How are you, Paige? Is it any better?" Kaden asks as he rubs my head.

"Better but still sick.." I tell him.

"Paige, I can get you whatever you need. Just tell me, and I'll get it. Whatever you are craving." Winston tells me. I rub his hand. Hmm, only one thing I can think of that sounds good to eat..

"Coconut.." I tell him.

"That's the one with hair, right?" He asks.

"Yeah.."

"Okay Paige, I'll go get some for you. I'll be back as fast as I can. I'll also have Caspian help me find it." I nod as he kisses my forehead. Gage walks in, seeing us he smiles.

"I can help find it." He says.

"The faster, the better, sure." Winston nods. I love how they don't fight who can get what. For them, the quicker it's done, the more it helps.
I'm just so glad.
We lay here playing with Faith. Curtis hands me tea, and this time, im able to hold it down. She's been getting bigger. Luckily,  she's in very good health. I play peekaboo with her she likes that almost as much as she likes pulling hair. I think her favorite hair to pull is Muirs. I play with her tiny feet, and she giggles. The black fox cub is still in a basket, but he peeks over a lot at her. Finally, my hubby's all come back in. Winston, Caspian, and Gage walk in with coconuts a lot of them.

"Oh wow. Thank you, that's enough to dry coconut for the winter, too. That will be awesome!" I say surprised at the amount they got.

"We figured in case you have another day like this, we can stock up for you, so they will be here when you need." Caspian tells me.

"Good idea. I didn't think of that at all. I just figured the other fruits were perfect to stock up on. If we get more, we can make coconut oil and coconut milk. Coconut milk is really good to make with shrimp." I tell them.

"Well, we can get you more tomorrow then. And you just tell us how to make it." Caspian kisses my forehead.

"Yeah, we found a huge area of them on the coast just a bit from here." Winston tells me as he starts opening a coconut for me.

"Yes, and it was easy to get them cause I can just fly up claw into a tree while Caspian grabs them. Winston just climbed up." I nod hmm team work.

"Perfect, thank you. I'm so happy cause I'm hungry but sick. So here's to hoping." I get white cut slices of coconut from Winston. I eat it and oh man.. this is what I needed. Mmm...
It's so good. I was so craving this. I'm so happy to have something on my stomach. The turning and nausea made my whole day suck.
