19. Pressure

Ape Kings Pov:

I clean their wounds and dress them.
The female Paige, her arm is shattered, and her leg. She's bleeding out, and all I can do is have Winston hold the wound.
The leopard doesn't look much better. Shuu will heal faster. The female starts coughing blood. I examine closer, and she has a large claw mark across her stomach. Winston growls. I touch and examine her stomach. I remove my hand quickly.

"Send guards to catch the Bai female!" He looks at we with concern.
"She's pregnant."

Damian's Pov:

I fly as fast as I can to look for colossals. We find a few of them. I land and hit it with my claws. Curtis jumps off of my back, attacking one. Soon, I have three attacking. I bite ones neck and pull it down. With my size, they look small. I swing my tail, pushing back the other two. I get bit, but I just whip my head back and bite his face, crushing it.

Curtis and I move fast, killing them looking for emralds. Only certain ones have them.

"This pack didn't have them.. we need to go to the dead lands." I tell Curtis.

"Can we make it there and back fast enough?" He hisses.

"We have to. I'll fly until I die of exhaustion." Curtis climbs up, and I fly off to the dragon lands. They call it the dead lands because there's nothing but sand. Even ferals are afraid to go there. It became desert from the dragon war. My father rules the dead lands. He's a good father, just stern. Usually, dragons are extremely territorial. Anything other than dragons go in and never leave. Unless a female comes. That's the thing there are no dragon females. Ever... don't know why there just isn't.

I fly the whole day. We land by colossals and start to kill. I'm exhausted, but I feel Paige getting weaker. We find two Emralds.

"Will that be enough?" Curtis asks.

"Just for Paige.. barely. We need more." I tell him.

"Why are you needing emralds so badly, brother?" I turn around seeing my older brother. He's always been quiet and also a good fighter.

"Kaden! My female is dying. I don't have time." I roar.
His eyes get wide. And he nods.

"You found Paige? She came back to you?" He asks me, and I nod in frustration.

"Yes, but she's hurt badly."

"Damian, I have emralds. You take them to heal her, and I wish you the best."
He then throws me a pouch. I look at my brother, who I've always looked up to. He's never had a mate he's always looked after us.

"Kaden, you come with us. To meet my mate." I tell him.

"Heh.. brother, you know I'm not liked by females." He shakes his head.

"You will see. Just come."

"Your mate has no time for you to argue, Damian, go!"

"Just try." He sighs and nods. We fly as fast as we can to the city.

Kaden's Pov:

I fly with them. To see Damian's female that I've heard a lot about. Of course, she's older now, but the stories I heard are how adorable she is. I doubt she would want me at all. My form scares all the females. I was saving those emralds for a long time. Back when I had hope of finding a mate but that never happened. So I'm glad they can save my brothers mate. At least they won't sit there for nothing.

Damian's Pov:

We fly as fast as we can all night. Exhausted, my brother flies us the rest of the way.
