83. Exhausted

Kaden's Pov:

I follow Paige out of the room when she runs into Azrael. I hide well. I don't even think Azrael can sense me. I watch as they talk. They sit at the table as Paige starts kissing him. It's like poison to my heart. Damn it... I hate this male, but I know it's not his fault. Azraels voice pulls me out of my thoughts.

"I got you something. You can't tell anyone, okay?" Azrael's voice was barely audible.

"But I tell my hubby's everything." I hear Paige's sweet voice.

"Yes, I know this, but they won't mind this time, okay?" I glare at him. What is he planning.

"I don't know... what if you don't tell me what it is so I don't feel guilty." Not good!

"So sweet. Okay then, I won't tell you. But you need to drink it, okay? No questions. All I'll tell you is it won't harm you or the cubs. It's good to drink it." I'll kill him. i ready my claws.

"Okay then." I hear giggling. Then I see the little green jar... what is that?

"Well, now I wish I knew..." Paige says. I slink up.

"Well, now im not telling you." She laughs and then drinks it with a cough she passes out. I jump out, grabbing Azrael, ready to kill him.

"What have you done? What did you give to her?" I growl out.

"It's useful for her. She can survive better if anything happens. No more what ifs." Azrael explains. I check Paige, my heart beating fast. I calm a bit she's asleep, and the pulses of the cubs are fine. I retract my claws. Letting Azrael go. A bit of his blood trickling down from his neck.

"She's fine. I swear by the beast god." I relax a bit. Gritting my teeth.

"Look.. I hated you for the poisons you make.. we're even now.." I grit my teeth.  Wait!

"Does that give it to the cubs, too?" I ask.

"Uh... you know I didn't think about that." Azrael scratches his head. I slap his head.

"Idiot..." I grab Paige and take her to bed.  I lay her down in bed. The others wide awake were listening.

"He gave Paige the jade drink, didn't he?" I look over Lucien, laying on his back with his arm over his eyes. I look at him questioningly.

"Yeah, I guess so." I say. I hear Lucien chuckle.

"Explain Lucien, what do you know?" Muir asks.

"Heh... Nothing, im also curious.  I do know if Azrael gave it to her, he knows what it is." Lucien smirks, still laying as he was. Both are idiots.

Azrael's Pov:

I go to the other room. Closing the door, my body leans back on the door behind me. I touch my lips. I feel a heat rising up my neck. She's perfect. I still can't believe that Fox leader had the sun blood and didn't know what it did. Fox are crafty, but a lot of them don't pass down their knowledge of secrets because they don't trust easily. This sun blood was passed down lineage to lineage. If he knew what he had.. he would have held onto it. I chuckle. I used to before anyone found out I had it. That memory serum worked great on Alec.. he won't even remember. All he will know is that it was misplaced for a day. Beast God, forgive me for letting my mate drink your life blood. Hope it does what I think it will. I fill the green bottle with a liquid. Place the cork back in. I slide the bottle into a leather pouch. Heh.. well, he will never know. I grab my scent hiding powder. I place it all in a basket. I'll put it back early in the morning. I touch the wood box I set up with all my concoctions. I open the box, looking at the stone jars. The leather hides folded. Hmm.. I need to do better and secure these so none of the cubs get to them and get hurt. Pulling each item carefully out. I clean everything, making sure the tops are hard to open. I spot a liquid I made a while ago. My favorite of all. It made me immune to basically everything. Hmm... if I give this to Paige and Faith. At least my females will be okay. Hmm, is Faith too young to take this? If I gave her little by little, it can help. I'll do that then. I set the blue stone little jar on the table next to the furs. I take the box, closing it. I hide it up high so nobody can get hurt on it. I end up doing this with most of my things. I smirk. Her lips are perfect. Haa... I hope she wants me. Either way, it's worth helping her. She is a sweet female.
But can I let her go now that she kissed me? Hmm.. I guess I would have to if she doesn't choose me. I honestly just want her to be happy. So either way, I'll help her and her cubs. I catch myself smiling. Damn... I cover my blush. I want her so badly..
I lay down, looking up at the wood on the ceiling. Sleeping will be harder than ever tonight.

Paige's Pov:

I wake up groggily. I sat up with hair in my face, and drool on my cheek. What a fucking weird night and weird dreams.

"My beautiful mate sleep you look tired still." Winston purrs to me.

"Winston.. wake.. bath.." I say eyes still squinting from the light outside.

"Heh okay I'll help you get ready today."Winston picks me up. We got to the bathroom. Where I sit half asleep as he gathers water in buckets to heat up. I lean back against the wall dozing.

"Paige, are you okay?" Winston touches my head. I feel fine just tired. And those dreams, what was up with that? Weird..

"I had weird dreams last night of flying. It was very weird. I also flew into the sun. I'm okay, just tired, I guess." I tell him.

"Hmm, well, you did grab Harvey and yelped last night. I guess that's cause you were dreaming of flying?" He laughs a bit.

"Did I really?" I crack one eye open, looking at him.

"Yeah, you really did. We thought something might have hurt you, so we looked." Winston tells me.

"Oh no, did I wake everyone and Faith?" I rub my face feeling guilty.

"No, Faith slept in Caspians arms half the night cause she was restless, but once he held her, she was out. Don't worry Paige, we didn't lose sleep." Winston rubs my head. Curtis comes in his tail wraps around my ankle as he leans down to me, whispering in my ear.

"My beautiful light, we have breakfast ready for you. I made you that coffee drink you like." He moves back, grinning.
I hug him.

"Thank you, handsome. I'd jump you right now, but I'm a mess this morning." I tell him.

"Do you really think this messy hair will stop me from finding you attractive?" I look up at him. He lifts me, taking me to the tub. He helps me wash my face and brush my teeth. Then he looks at me, raising his brow.

"Now, do you feel better? I would have no problem either way, but if this makes you more comfortable, then I can help you. You can jump me now, Paige." He smirks. I just giggle and kiss my handsome red-headed hubby. I feel two sets of hands on me. This will definitely make me more tired, but right now, I feel the rush of desire. They always make me feel attractive, desirable, and loved. I rub Curtis hair as I kiss him. I feel Winston kiss my neck and rub his ear with my other hand. Four hands rub my body, exploring every inch. I moan into Curtis.

<3 may I was able to stay awake writing a chapter. Lately exhaustion has been a very real thing with all that's happening. So glad I was able to get two out today.
