Paiges Pov:

It starts to get dark. I climb Muirs Hawk form and hold on. He glides down as I admire his beautiful feathers.

"Wow.." I touch his feathers are Shiney dark brown almost black, but at the tips, they have a very light gray that follows the edge of his feathers. Making him look like he has scales, but they aren't. I hug him, feeling the silky soft touch.
After we land, I slide off Muirs back into Damian's arms. Muir shifts back, fixing his cloth.

"I'm glad you like my feathers, Paige. If you want, I can make you a cloak with fur and my feathers. I'll collect the ones that fall." I smile at him.

"I'd love that, Muir! I love your feathers they're pretty and soft."
He blushes big time shyly. Damian picks me up, and we start to head to the Bon Fire. It's in a grassy field surrounded by tall trees. Many bon fires dot the area with females and their mates sitting at their own fire. I see Holly and Rosa sitting with their own families at their own fire. Parker is sitting with Elodie at Holly's. Oh wow, that's great to see.
Damian walks us to our own fire. We all sit down. My mates start getting meat to cook. We get a pouch of nuts so I can eat them while I wait. We see the Peacock King come out on a tall stone stage.

"We are all gathered to have a feist. To meet the females that have temporarily entered out city. We welcome you, and I hope your time here is a good one. Any single males who wish to take one of these females you may try tonight."
I roll my eyes as I hear my hubby's growls of disproval. I giggle until I see Alva walking up. Great... why, out of all places, we had to come to this males doorstep. Herm...

Thank god.. please take this guy away.. the way he treats people just because he doesn't think their pretty is extremely messed up. No way is he a male. I've ever said we'll he'd be cute while reading the story. In fact, I know Muir and Curtis did some messed up things but redeemed themselves, but Alva has no loyalty to a single female. In fact, if he saw someone prettier than me, he'd be all over her.

"I'll prove myself to you. Can I know your name?" He asks.

"No.." I say to his question.

"Hey Paige! Do you have any of that meat rub? My males forgot mine at the tree. Oh, who's this? Oh, never mind." Rosa waddles up, asking me.

"Oh, your name is Paige?" Alva asks.

Harvey hands Bart the rub for Rosa.

My hubby's growl at Alva.

"I'll fight your strongest he looks at Winston." I giggle as Damian stands up.

"Alright." Damian growls.

"How is a no stripe your strongest? Are you males mocking me?" Alva crosses his arms. Huffing. What a ass!

"Mocking you? Excuse you? Dont you dare look down on my mates!" I yell out.

Alva's father walks over.

"What is happening here?" He asks.

"Well this male. Has asked me if he can be my mate and I said no. Yet he won't stop. So Rosa suggested fighting my strongest mate. That's how it was done in my City. So he agree." I explain.

"This is not how we do that in this City." He says.

"Then this male can find another female cause my answer still stands." I explain.

"Female I don't think you understand my cub Alva is a good male. Your staying the night here why don't you give him a chance, and stay longer. He'd bring a lot to your family if you take him." Oh my god...

"Can he fight better than my mates?" I ask.

"No but.."

"Can he fly faster than my dragon mates?"

"No.."

"Does he know medicine?"

"Well no but.."

"Can he kill colossals?"

"No.."

"Then if the only thing he can do is crack nuts my males can do that. I don't need a male that is just pretty to look at. That's my job to sit and be pretty. Besides my mates are very handsome. So the answer stays the same. Also if i really had to choose a male from your city it would be that purple peacock over there" i point to the peacock. The Peacock King sighs and nods. He pats Alvas shoulder and walks away. I look at Alva and give him a why are you still here look. He looks down in shame.

"But I can do something. I can get you fish to eat." He says.

"So can my mates they provide for me very well." I state. Alva nods and walks away. I hug Curtis feeling sour from tonight's bull shit.. the audacity of the Peacock king.

"I don't even want to stay in this city.. I'm so exhausted. Of these males. Can we go back to the cave?" Lucien pats my back while Curtis pets my head.

"Whatever you want Paige. We can go back to the cave and meet the others tomorrow." Harvey tells me I nod.

"Yes! I don't feel comfortable here at all. Let's go let Holly and Rosa know." I say.

"I'll let them know. You go back to the tree and I'll meet you there. Then we can leave." Winston kisses my head.

"Okay." Damian nods.
Thank God..
We head to the tree to meet Muir.
Muir flies down to us with our stuff.
Winstone walks up to us.

"I let them know and they will meet us at the cave in the morning."
Curtis picks me up and we head back to the cave we were planning to stay at.
My hubby's get a idea of what Curtis is planning. So they decide I can sleep in the back of the cave with Curtis.

They lay my furs down for my bedding.
Curtis lays me down very gently.

"Paige I hope your not tired." I giggle knowing full well what is going to happen.
Harvey comes and sits by me.
