30. Sick

Paiges Pov:

I wake up in Harvey's arms, realizing we're already in the air. Curtis hisses something, and Damian lands. I grumpily glare at Shuu and Winston.. damn I'm sore as hell.. Harvey takes me to the river to get my teeth brushed so I can get in my morning routine. I bend down to get a drink and notice my reflection. Oh my god! My hair looks like an absolute birds nest. I get my comb out and tackle the knots, but the comb gets pulled from my hair and softly gets brushed. I look up and see Harvey brushing it for me. He braids my hair for me. I smile as best as I can, feeling sick.
After my morning routine, I feel like me again.

"Harvey.. can we have something sour to eat? I feel a bit sick.." I just lean my whole body on Harvey. He picks me up, and I bury my face on his shoulder.

"Of course, Paige. I'll also make some tea for you to help you feel better." Rubbing my back, he softly tells me. Thank the Beast God for Harvey. He's always the most sweet. I yawned a bit as he carried me back. I just lay there not wanting to move. My stomach is turning, and I feel like I'm going to puke acid.

"Paige wants sour fruit to eat. I need to make her medicine." Harvey starts to hand me over to Shuu, but amongst the movement, my stomach rears its ugly face, and I puke luckily, missing my hubby's but still.. I cry a bit from the strain. My throat is burning from the acidity of fluid. I finally catch my breath.

"Oh Paige... I'm sorry you're not feeling good." Shuu tells me. I sickly just lay there. Winston brings me mint leaves, water, and spike fruit to wash up. I rinse and clean until I am satisfied that I won't smell nasty. I wash my face, too. After I lay on Shuu, I did not feel the urge to move at all, not even talk. I'm just so sick I can't today. I just silently doze off on Shuu.

"Hey Paige, we got you some fruits and medicine. Can you sit up?" Damian asks me. I can't if I talk I'll puke. Damian slowly moves me, helping me sit up a bit. With the help of Kaden and Harvey, I'm able to drink the medicine and eat a few bites of sour fruit. I close my eyes, wanting today to be over.

"It could also be the cold. Or just morning sickness. Give me a bit so I can look for medicine we might need for the rest of the way." Harvey goes with Winston to find some things.
Rosa and Holly walk over to me.

"Hey Paige, I found some ginger you can chew on it really does help. This has been my life with this pregnancy. Just open your mouth, and I'll feed it to ya. You'll be right as rain in like forty minutes." Rosa tells me. So i open my mouth, and she pops a slice of ginger in my mouth. I just suck on it. Still too queasy to say anything or move, I just give her a thumbs up as a thank you. Rosa just laughs.

"We've all been in that stage Paige just don't move and eat on the golden root it will help." Holly tells me. Aww. I wish I could tell them thank you. I try to, but I just gag a bit.

"Oh yeah, I'm gonna go back over there, girl. I don't do puking.. hur... oh god.." Rosa waddles to the bushes starting to puke. Holly laughs a bit. Now I feel bad my sickness made Rosa sick. Poor thing.

"I'll go check up on Rosa, okay Paige? I hope you feel better soon." Holly rubs my head a bit and walks to Rosa. I can hear her puking, too.

"Is there anything I can do to help your female?" I hear Muir ask. You're so nice Muir thank you.

"Actually yes Muir can you fly yet?" Shuu asks him.

"I can try." He shifts to his form, and no, his wing is still hurting him too bad.
He comes over to us looking defeated.

"Ah. Okay, Muir, I have another idea. Maybe build a small nest so our females can sit in it while we fly. That way, they won't get cold. We can strap the nest on Damian's back with vines." Oh my god Shuu your brilliant! Big thumbs up for hubby.
