38. Promise

Paiges Pov:

I hear loud roars.

"Shuu, is that Winston?" I ask excitedly.

"Yes Paige, they found us." I sigh in relife.
I look to the blurry male sitting by us.

"Thank you for saving me." I tell him greatfull that he found us.

"Mm.. well, my time up here is done. I have things to do. I hope you have a great recovery, female." I nod politely. He dives into the water.

"Was he a mer clan?" I ask Shuu.

"Yes, he is. A very lonely one you can tell." Shuu replied to me, brushing my cheek.
Shuu picks me up as Muir lands. It's starting to rain again as I'm moved out of a dark area. Maybe I was in a cave or under some trees? Either way. I can't see now, just extremely blurry objects.
I see them rush up to me.

"Paige, you're hurt! We need to get you to Harvey." Winston says. I nod, letting out a sob.

"Paige can't see." Shuu tells them.

"Oh Paige, we will get you an emrald to heal you, don't worry." I'm a sobbing mess. I hear more roaring, and I think that's Kaden. He lands, and Shuu gets me on his back with him. We all fly back to a spot meeting the others.
They take me into a cave, and Harvey checks me.

"Paige... you hit your head real hard. You don't need to be standing. In fact I'm sending Kaden to get an emrald for you. The bleeding isn't stopping enough. Curtis, you need to keep Paige awake."
Harvey tells me. I nod.. probably a concussion.. great..
I sit up with one of my hubby's feeding me. I touch his face.

"It's me, Paige." I hear Lucien's voice. I start to cry a bit. I can't see them. This sucks.

"Hey, little light, it will heal, okay?"

"Okay.." I whisper.
One of them hands me a fruit already peeled. I smile.

"Muir, thank you." I tell him.

"How did you know?" Muir asked me kind of confused.

"You always grab me this particular fruit. Also, you smell like the trees. You smell good." I blush.

"What do I smell like?" Lucien asked me.

"You smell like flowers. Harvey smells like medicine. Shuu smells of cedar. Winston smells like rain water. Damian smells like a ocean, Kaden smells like a campfire but sweet. Curtis smells like a cinnamon musk." I explain to them.

"You smell euphoric, Paige. Your scent is pure, fragrant, and alluring. It calls to us." Curtis says to me. I give a slight laugh. I finish eating my food. Lucien feeds me.
I lay down tired, just happy im back with my hubby's again. I try to not fall asleep, but.. It's hard..

Rosa and Holly decided to help me stay awake. We talk about just anything. At this point, my head is pounding. It hurts so bad.
Harvey decided he's going to make me some soup. It takes a bit, but he comes to me and feeds it to me.
It would be great if I could hold it down.
After me being sick for what seems like hours. We get an unexpected visitor.
I hear hissing then growls.

"Oh, this is the male who saved us." Shuu says. I hear them echo in the cave, which now I just want to pass out and sleep away this pain.

"I've come to help heal your female." He says. His voice is very soft but low. It's smooth like Harvey's voice.

"We have a healer, but we thank you for saving our mate. We can pay you back." Winston starts to say but gets interrupted.

"Oh? So you have an emrald for her? That's what I thought. I have one, and it seems to me she needs it. I had to go to my cave to get it. Anyways, your female may have it." The mermaid says to my hubby's.
