15. Bonfire

Paiges Pov:

We head to the Bonfire. I decided I wanted to walk there with my hubby's instead of being carried.
I look around. There's single families at their own bonfire. Each family consists of the female and her mates and cubs. Some males fight for the female to get her attention.
We see an empty bonfire, so we take it. I sit on Damian's lap. He's blushing big time. My hubby's start cooking spicing the meat. We decided to cook some vegetables on skewers. Yum..
We start eating. I spice my own piece with some peppers. I take a bite. Holy crap to much. My eyes water, and I cough a bit.

"I need.. water to.. spicey." I cough out.
Harvey takes my hand and walks me to the river. I get a few gulps and cough a bit.

"Better?" Harvey rubs my back. Damn I still feel like it's slightly burning.

"I'll be okay.. to much pepper." I look at him, wiping my eyes.

"Next time, I'll try it first for you." He laughs a bit. He takes my hand, and we start walking back. I hear someone arguing behind me, so I look in that direction, but my ankle gets caught, and I fall right onto someone. Harvey is pulling me up before I completely fall, but I did knock someone down.

"Im.. sorry. I didn't mean to" I kind of freak out.
I look at who I knocked over, and I can't really see the person.

"I'm okay, female. I'm sorry, too." I feel Harvey's arms around my waist.

"Are you okay?" I whisper out.

"I'm fine, female. Are you okay? You're not hurt. Are you?" He asks me.

"Im..I'm okay, um. I should go back. Thank you." Harvey just picks me up, and we get back. He sits me on Winstons lap and checks my ankle. It hurts, but it will heal soon.

"Paige, you hurt your ankle pretty bad. She tripped." He explains before they can ask.

"Okay.." I sigh out. This sucks how am I going to do anything with our house now. Or I just limp like I did last time. I look up at my hubby's, and they all have a stern look staring at me. Or.. maybe not.. I'll just sit on my ass then..
Then, a male walks up to our fire. Oh, he looks familiar.

"I got you this meat female." He blushes, holding out a big leaf with meat on it. Oh my god, did I run over Shuu earlier? Aww, he's such a sweetheart. Look at my hubby's. The only one who seems a bit jealous is Curtis. So I give him a playful nudge with a smile on my face. Then he grins at me.
I look at Shuu his eyes are beautiful like a crystal blue almost gray. I carefully take the meat from him.

"Thank you. It looks good." His tail starts to wag, and he's blushing even more.

"I'm Shuu. we met just earlier. Are you okay?" He's looking at my foot.

"I hurt my foot on a root, but I will be okay. My name is Paige." I whisper out, blushing i feel embarrassed.
We hear a commotion behind Shuu. He turns to look, and we look too. Crap...
We see Parker and Bai arguing with a purple haired girl. That must be Rosa.
They walk by our bonfire. Parker sees us, and he gives us the dirtiest look. Bai is in Parkers arms, and she is fake crying with no tears again.

"Rosa, leave my female alone! You're just jealous." Parker growls out.

"Jealous of her? No way! She's just a white lotus bitch!" Rosa says which gets my eyes to go wide. How would she know that term? I study them.
Winston growls out.

"Parker leave my brothers cub alone!" Winston stands up growling at Parker.

"So now you get your uncle to yell at us? Rosa your so mean. We didn't do anything." Bai says looking scared.
