Hello friends. I don't know where to start lol.
So platonic love. You know I'm a sucker for platonic love. You know ima do anything and everything for platonic love to be seen as much as romance in this society.
So, let's talk about it.
There are plenty of people who appreciate platonic love. Yes. Plenty of people who will say it's important and meaningful and great, but that's not the point I'm trying make. Most people can agree platonic love is important/great. But most people will not agree it's as important or as deep as romance.
"It's strictly platonic but I love you" strictly implies limits. But to me love doesn't really have limits. Of course I love my sister but there's things I wouldn't do with her. That's not a limit, that's just another form of love. It's not less it's just different.
It's our language that gives away how society sees platonic love because even when talking about how they love platonic love they use it in a way, probably subconsciously bc it's so ingrained in our brains, that implies it being less.
"I would do anything for my friends but it's not romantic, we are just friends"
Just.
This is why I love the phrase purely platonic. Because purely means platonic is the singlur type of love instead of saying only platonic, only implying lacking.
I don't even know if I'm making sense or if everything I'm saying is pure B.S.
I just love platonic love so much and I wanted to talk about it lol. That's all.
