Can't stop thinking about it

My head is fullll of to many annoying thoughts rn.

Someone commented on here that Alastor from hazbin hotel was confirmed to be ace and aro but apparently people got mad and so they took back the aro part. (TheOfficialAroace
Like is that not full insane? I've never seen Hazbin Hotel so I'm in unfamiliar territory but if it's true he was confirmed aro and people got so upset they took back the statement— like, what?!

And like when people talk about shipping aroace characters of aro characters (which, to be clear, is not always a problem. It depends on where the character is on the a spec and your intentions of shipping them in the first place. It's important to keep in mind how the relationship will look different and you shouldn't disregard that or their identity) and people are like "but they aren't real so who is it hurting?"

Idk, maybe the people who saw themselves in that character? "It won't change the canon" yet in hazbin hotel they retracted their statement of the canon.

And people really do get attached to fictional characters. Yes they aren't real but they still can mean everything to people.

"It's not that big of a problem"

Yet for some reason I can't stop thinking about it.

Like even taking the aroace thing out of the equation why are people so obsessed with shipping every single character. Like, can you not enjoy a piece of fiction not every single character is in a romantic relationship or wants to be on one?

I know I sound like a miserable person in all of these. Well. I am miserable. So. Yea.

I feel really bad too bc like I feel like such a hater and there's like romance/sex positive aros and aces and all I do is complain and I'm low-key a hater so I feel like most of them won't be able to relate to a lot of the stuff I put on here bc I'm a chronic complainer.
