Diamond Dreams (Tyler Carter)

Madison's POV

I woke up rolling over to see I was alone again. When Rachel passed away Tyler was always here. We both needed each other because we lost our best friend. I was always jealous of him and Rachel. Rachel got him and I was upset. I didn't talk to them for years because I couldn't be around them without being heartbroken. Once I heard of Rachel's accident, I ran to Tyler's side. We were inseparable just so we could have each other for support. Today we are both going in to hand in our college applications. He has given up on his dream of music and fame so I gave up on mine as well. I started driving to the college to go meet Tyler. I was waiting in the waiting room as Tyler talked to the dean. I then received a phone call. I answered it quickly. "Hi, is this Madison Knight?" the voice asked. "This is she." I said. "Well, I am a producer from Rise Records and we saw the video you sent into us a few months ago and we have a band we want you to front." The guy said. My jaw dropped. I looked at the application in front of me and ripped it up. "I will be right there." I said. "Okay we have emailed you a plane ticket." He said. I waited around twenty minutes for Tyler but then I couldn't wait anymore. I ran home and packed up some things just in case the deal doesn't work out. I printed my plane ticket and sped off to the airport. I reached Portland, Oregon and I was picked up at the airport by a limo. I got to Rise Records and they whisked me right into a room. "This is the band Before Their Eyes." (I know they don't have a girl singer but go along with it.) The guy said. I smiled and said hello. I was instantly drawn to who I would later find out is Elliot. He smiled at me and shook my hand. He asked me to get coffee with him when the meeting was over. I said yes. We ended up dating for quite some time. We even quit the band together in 2010 but that was after I knew Tyler joined Woe, is Me. I didn't even bother to speak to him because I believed he was mad at me for ditching him. Here we are in 2014. I lonely and homesick, and Elliot with some other girl in Blessthefall. I am currently on tour with Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce the Veil helping them with pictures and little things. I became friends with the both of them three years ago. We're on a three day break now and the guys all agreed to go to Kansas to see my family. "Hey guys we have old record mates playing a gig tonight." Kellin yelled. "Then lets go." I said not even caring what band it is. Kellin went off to call his friend. We pulled up to the venue and my jaw dropped. I jumped out of the bus and latched my limbs around my long lost best friend. "Michael Bohn, I have missed you so much." I said. "Madison Knight, I have missed you too." He said hugging me. "Did you say Madison Knight?" a voice said. I froze. Michael put me down and spun me around. "You left me." Tyler said. "I had to. I got my big break which didn't last long because I was blindsided by a stupid love that I knew wasn't real." I said starting to cry. "Hell, Tyler, I was in love with you and I still am but I knew you would never love me. I could never live up to Rachel. I didn't want to leave you but I had to so I could get a life of my own." I said breaking down more. Vic clambered off the bus and ran over to me. He picked me up off the ground and held me. "We were on the same label and you never once tried to contact me. I was terrified of what you would say to me. I was petrified." I said choking on my words. Tyler's face softened. "I needed you Madison. I do love you but I can't be with you." He said. I stood up and slapped him across the face. "Go to hell, Tyler Carter." I said. I climbed onto Pierce The Veil's bus and we left. I looked out the window seeing Tyler crying and holding his cheek. We're now at the last date of the tour in Las Vegas. Mike and Alysha said I could come home with them since Vic was going to see Danielle. I curled up in the guest bedroom watching Gossip Girl and I hate Gossip Girl. Mike came walking into the room. "Um, you have a guest." He said rubbing his neck uncomfortably. "No Mike. Send him away." I said. "Well, I'm not leaving here without you." Tyler said barging in. "I cannot lose you." He said sitting next to me. Mike walked out and shut the door to give us privacy. "You need to go. You can't tell me you love me but you can't be with me." I said. "I am so stupid. I love you so much but I was blinded by the past. Please Madison. I love you." He said. I looked down as I let the tears fall from my eyes. He lifted up my chin and wiped away my tears. "I love you and nothing will ever change that." He said. "Do you promise?" I asked. "I promise." He said. I leaned up and kissed him softly. He pressed his lips back and held me in his arms. We then just laid there in comfortable silence holding each other.
