I Never Should've Left You (Derek Sanders)

Erica's POV

I looked at my computer screen debating whether or not to go see Mayday Parade. I haven't seen them in two years. I sighed and bought the ticket. "Amanda, can you babysit tonight?" I asked. "Sure anything for my sister." She said. I smiled and took a quick shower. I got out and curled my hair. I did my makeup naturally and got out my clothes. I put on a peach chiffon color blouse and a pair of black high waisted shorts. I got in my car and drove to the venue. I headed inside and sat at the bar. The show was amazing. It actually got out at one in the morning. Amanda texted me that she was spending the night. Everyone cleared out by now. I was still hung up on how Derek dedicated their song Stay to a special girl. He clearly moved on from me. I sat at the bar finishing my drink. I stood up and wandered backstage. "Hey Alex." I said tapping his shoulder. "Erica." He said amazed. I rubbed the back of my neck. "Ya, how have you been?" I asked. "I've been great. How have you been?" He asked. "Getting by. Do you know where Derek is?" I asked. "He probably went back to the bus to pack up since it is the last night of tour. We just moved here." He said. "Thanks Alex. Can I go onto the bus?" I asked. He nodded and hugged me tightly. I walked to the bus and climbed in. "Derek." I said softly. I heard shuffling from the back. I walked back towards the noise and saw Derek. He hasn't changed at all. He was still the most handsome man in the world. I stood there not knowing what to do. "Derek." I said softly. He stiffened up and turned around. He looked at me and tears welled up in his eyes. He hugged me tightly and kissed my head. I cried into his chest. We stood there like that for about twenty minutes till he finally spoke. "Where have you been?" He asked. "I moved here when I disappeared. I ran away Derek because of something that happened. I thought you wouldn't love me anymore. I'm so sorry Derek." I said. "Erica, nothing could stop me from loving you." He said kissing me softly. I smiled and kissed back. "Will you tell me what happened?" He asked. "It would be better if I showed you but you might want some sleep first." I said. He nodded and went along with it. "You know Stay was dedicated to you." he said. I smiled and kissed him. We climbed into his bunk and slept for the next six hours. I woke up and fixed my hair and makeup. Derek made us breakfast and coffee. I told him I would drive him to his new house after we hung out. He put his stuff in my trunk and we headed to my apartment. We pulled up to my apartment and I got nervous. I headed inside with him and Amanda was awake. "She is still sleeping." She said. "Hey Amanda." Derek said. "Derek! I missed you. Please be with my sister again. She is still in love with you." She said. We blushed and smiled. Amanda laughed and went back to eating her breakfast. I grabbed Derek's hand and led him down the hallway. I stopped in front of a door and walked inside. Derek walked in halfway. "Odette, sweetie. Wake up. I'm home." I said kissing her forehead. She stirred and pushed her light brown hair out of her face. "Mumma." She said holding out her arms. I picked her up and hugged her. "I missed you, mumma. I wove ewe." She said trying to talk. She was smart for a one year old. I turned and looked at Derek. He stood there nervous. She pointed at Derek. "Odette, this is someone who is very special to mommy. She loves him just as much as she loves you." I said. She smiled and reached her arms out to him. He took her in his arms. "Is she mine?" He asked. I nodded. "This is why you left? You thought I would hate you for having our baby." He said. I nodded. He walked over and kissed me. "Odette, I love you sweetie. I'm daddy. How would you and mommy like to go to the park?" He asked. She smiled and clapped. He chuckled. I got her ready and got her. breakfast. We headed to the park and Derek played with her on the playscape and pushed her in the baby swing. "Erica, I want you and Odette to move in with me. I want us to be a family." He said. I smiled and kissed him. "Dada and mumma appy." Odette said. We laughed and kissed her cheeks at the same time. I finally have the guy I love back. We can be a big happy family. I looked at Derek taking pictures of him and Odette. He was really happy. He smiled at her and kissed her cheek. I was finally happy for the first time in two years.
