Happy New Years (Jake Pitts)

Julianna's POV

"Baby, I am so sorry but I can't make it home for New Years. I have tried everything but please enjoy the night with my family." Jake said into the phone. I sniffled and hung up the phone. Jake and I were supposed to go out to Hawaii for New Years to be with his family. I got out here just fine but last minute band stuff came up so Jake had to take another flight and now he can't get out of California. Sarah came over as she saw me crying. "He isn't going to make it is he?" she asked. I shook my head. She wrapped her arms around me and let me cry. "At least I have Aiden to give me a kiss." I said. Sarah laughed. "He does love his Aunty Ju." She said. I smiled. Aiden toddled over to us and hugged my legs. "Don't cry, Aunty Ju." He said. "I'm all smiles as long as I have you little man." I said kissing his head. "Let's get him to bed since tomorrow night he gets to be a big boy and stay up until the ball drops." Sarah said. I nodded and lifted him up. Minka was already in bed because she passed out with her grandpa. Gosh I love that three year old. She says she wants to be just like me when she grows up. I am so happy that my niece and nephew love me. I felt awful that Carolyn couldn't be here this year but may she rest in peace. Sarah came back down after putting Aiden to bed. "So when are you and Jake gonna start having kids?" she asked. "I hope we do soon but I wish we did before we lost your mom." I said. "Jake would've loved that but you guys had just gotten married and at least she was there for the ceremony." She said. I nodded. "I get all my attention from Minka and Aiden so I am happy for now." I said. "Yeah, I know but you guys can't always be here and you miss a lot." She said. "We try. I can't believe Minka is three and Aiden is six. I remember when Jake first introduced us. We were best friends at first sight and you had just gotten pregnant with Aiden. You made me his godmother and I can never thank you enough for that." I said. "Well you're my best friend and his aunty." She said. I smiled. "We should get some sleep. Your favorite man is going to wake you up nice and early." Sarah said. "I know he will." I said. We headed upstairs leaving the men to watch whatever it was they were watching. As we walked past the kids' rooms Aiden stuck his head out. "Aunty Ju, I want to sleep with you." Aiden said. "Ask your mom if it is alright." I said. Aiden looked at Sarah with big puppy dog eyes. "Fine but just this once. Your Uncle is going to be here on the 1st and he will want to sleep with Aunty." She said. Aiden nodded and went to grab his things as I changed quickly. He came in with his teddy and climbed up on my bed. I climbed in next to him and he snuggled up to me. "Aunty Ju, when am I going to have a cousin?" he asked. "Some time soon Aiden but I hope he is sweet just like you if he is a boy." I said. Aiden smiled and kissed my cheek. He soon fell asleep in my arms. I woke up and found Aiden sprawled out with hair sticking out everywhere. I chuckled and slipped out of bed. I headed to the kitchen and found Mark making coffee. "I made some for you too." He said. "Thanks dad." I said hugging him. I got used to calling him dad since he acts like my dad more than my real one who abandoned me. "Jake isn't gonna make it." He said. "It seems so." I sighed putting the sugar and milk in my coffee. "Hey, you always have me and Aiden for a kiss." He said. "No, you supposed to kiss little miss Minka. She is looking forward to it." I said. He chuckled. "I know, she has me wrapped around her little finger." He said smiling. "I wish he were here. I had some amazing news I was going to tell him." I said feeling tears in my eyes. Mark wrapped his arms around me and let me cry. "I'm pregnant." I whispered. "That's great. Congrats sweetheart." He said. "You're the only one who knows. I was gonna tell Jake tonight by putting his drink in a bottle but he isn't here." I whimpered. He rubbed my back. "He will be here tomorrow and you can tell him then. Put his smoothie in a bottle." He said. I nodded. Mark calmed me down and we enjoyed breakfast as everyone came down. It was finally ten minutes until midnight. We got Minka and Aiden up from their nap twenty minutes ago. Minka was snuggled on Mark's lap trying to stay awake as I stood in the middle of the room watching everyone be happy. Jake hasn't contacted me all day and it hurts. I must've spaced out because Aiden poked my side. I giggled. "Close your eyes so I can give you a kiss." He said. He climbed up on a chair to be at my height. "Close your eyes pretty please." He said. I closed them to humor him. "5, 4, 3, 2 ,1!" everyone shouted. I felt lips on mine and I knew those lips all too well. I snaked my arms around his neck and kissed him harder. We pulled apart and I opened my eyes to see Jake smiling at me. "I hate you." I said kissing him again. He smiled. "I love you too. Thanks bud." Jake said high fiving Aiden. "Welcome." Aiden said climbing down. "Wait a second. You need a kiss." I said. Aiden smiled and I kissed his cheek. He kissed mine back and put the chair away. "I missed you." I whispered. "I missed you too." He said holding me close to him. "Would you like a drink?" I asked. He nodded. I went into the kitchen and grabbed him a beer. I saw Minka's sippy cup on the counter and grabbed it. I dumped out the water and poured in the beer. I walked back into the living room and handed it to Jake. He didn't notice it as he talked to his sister and dad but his sister looked shocked as he went to take a sip of it. Jake couldn't figure out what was in his hand and looked. "Babe?" he asked staring at the cup. "I love you." I said. He dropped the cup and kissed me again. He smiled and kissed my stomach all over. "How far are you?" he asked. "Two months." I said. "I am so excited." He said. I watched Minka go for her sippy and grabbed it quickly. "Drink your beer babe." I said kissing his cheek. He kissed me again and took a sip. "You couldn't have told me!" Sarah squealed. "I wanted it to be a family surprise." I said. "Well I am so excited. Aiden will be thrilled." She said. "I know he asked me when he was going to get a cousin last night." I said. She smiled. "I wish mom was here." Jake said. "I know you do but we have your dad and my mom. We will be alright and we can take our baby to meet her as soon as it is born." I said. He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Well I am extremely jet lagged so we are going to bed. We will see you tomorrow." Jake said. "You mean today." Aiden corrected. Jake chuckled. "Yes I do." He said. We headed up to the guest room and Jake tossed me onto the bed. I giggled as he climbed over me. "I love you." He said. "I love you too." I said. "I was talking to the baby but yeah I love you." He said. I gasped and slapped his arm. "You know I will always love you." He said. "Forever." I smiled kissing him. He lied down next to me and held me close. He rested his hands on my stomach. "I promise to protect you both and to be there when he or she is born and to be home on every birthday or holiday." He said. "I know you do. You will be the best dad in the world." I smiled. He kissed the back of my head and rubbed my stomach slowly. I soon fell asleep in his arms. "Happy New Year Julianna." He whispered kissing my head one last time.
