Mannequin (Brian Dales)

Dawson's POV

"Jess, give me back my phone! Dillion will be here any minute and you know he doesn't like to wait." I said. I heard Brian grumbled and stomp off. Jess sighed and handed over my phone. "I don't know why you still date him. He doesn't treat you right." She said. I sighed. I know he doesn't treat me right but he loves me right? I pulled on my hoodie and laced up my converse. I sat on the floor as Jess fishtailed my hair. "I'm just trying to protect you. You're my baby sister. I love you." She said. "I love you too." I said hugging her. Dillion came in with Josh. "You're wearing that out tonight. Go change. I want people to see what a hot girlfriend I have." He said. I nodded and headed up to my room. "Please don't go out with him tonight." Brian said popping into my room. "Brian, I want to go besides I wasn't sure about the outfit I was wearing anyway so I am glad Dillion told me to change." I said. He sighed and headed back down the stairs. Brian and I used to be the best of friends but when Dillion joined the band things changed. Brian stopped talking to me since I was becoming so close to Dillion. Jess referred to me as a rag doll that Dillion stitched up and made whole again. I wish Brian and I were as close as we once were. I used to be head over heels in love with him. I still am too but he doesn't seem to be interested. I pulled on a cute summer floral dress and a pair of new black converse. I put on my charm bracelet and headed back downstairs. "Now that's better." Dillion said kissing me. I grabbed my cream colored cardigan from the rack and opened the door. "We will see you guys at the club later." I said. "Yes you will." Stephen said excited. He always gets so excited when they have a chance to play. We headed to the club and Dillion showed me off like usual. I made him dance with me so I could feel less like a Barbie doll or mannequin. It was finally time for the band to play. Even though Dillion isn't in the band anymore I make him go to the shows because Jess is my sister and because all the guys are my best friends. "This is a new song of our new album Everything's Fine." Brian said. I got really excited because I haven't heard any of the new music yet. They began playing and I swayed along to the music until Brain started singing. As soon as the lyrics hit me I was paralyzed. I looked down. I couldn't bear to look at Brian. He loved me and now he hates me. I held the necklace he gave me for my birthday a couple years back. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and ran. I ran out of the club and far away from the city. I got home and ran up to my room. I began packing a bag full of clothes and things I needed. I had to get away from Brian. He hates me now and I can't be around him now. I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs only to crash into Brian. I let out the sobs I had been holding in and he wrapped his arms around me. "You're more than just a mannequin to me, Dawson. I love you." He said. He tilted up my face and wiped away my tears. He then kissed me softly on the lips. "I love you too Brian." I said. He held me close and we swayed to the invisible music that was playing inside our heads.
