Tatum's POV

I groaned as I walked through the camp with my older brother Michael. I can't believe my parents made me come this year with him. I finally get to meet his so-called best friend Tyler though. Michael showed me to the cabin I would be staying in which is right next to his. "I have to share with three other girls." I exclaimed. "Ya, get over it." He said annoyed. I looked down and put my stuff away. We walked around the camp so he could show me where every thing is. "Michael!" a short boy with blond hair yelled. He was really cute. "Tyler." Michael said bro hugging him. "This must be Tatum. The name is Tyler Carter." Tyler said extending his hand. I blushed and shook it. "It is nice to meet you." I said. "The pleasure is all mine." He said with his southern accent coming out. I watched Michael roll his eyes. "So what made you decide to come here with Michael this year?" he asked. "That's funny. She was forced here because she is a spoiled brat." Michael said. "Michael, please." I said. He just kept going. "She is always getting in trouble at school, she thinks she is entitled to every thing because our grandparents spoil her and she is the most ill behaved person in the world. All she dates is bad boys and this last boyfriend stole a truck with her and they broke into an airfield to watch planes take off. They both got arrested and that was my parents last straw so they sent her here to straighten her out." Michael said. I was in tears by now. "Dude, you hurt her feelings." Tyler said. "I could care less. She is faking anyways." Michael said. I wasn't. I ran off as Tyler called my name. I hid down by the lake crying. "Tatum." I heard Tyler's soft voice. I hid deeper in the bushes. "I hear you." He said. He found me and my mascara was everywhere. He wiped away my tears and held me in his arms. "My parents love Michael more than me that's why I act out." I said. "That isn't true. I am sure they love you the same." He said. I shook my head no. "Well, I think I like you more than Michael. You seem to be way more fun than that stick in the mud. Wanna come make s'mores with all us campers?" he asked. I nodded. He led me to the huge bonfire and he sat me down next to him. He handed me a stick with a marshmallow. "First one to make the perfect smore wins." He said. "You are on Mr. Carter." I said laughing. Tyler's marshmallow caught on fire and he began screaming and flinging it. "Calm down." I said grabbing his stick. I blew out the marshmallow and he smiled. "I could've done that." He said. "Sure." I said. We spent the night laughing and goofing around with Michael glaring at us. I didn't care though I was actually happy and having fun. "Hey, come with me." Tyler said pulling my hand. I followed him to a cabin. He started climbing up a ladder. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Come on." He said. I shook my head and climbed up. There was a blanket up here with a telescope. "This is my cabin. I did this years ago and the counselors don't care." He said plopping down. I sat down next to him. "It is so beautiful." I said looking up at the sky. "Ya, you are." He said. "I mean the sky." He said. I blushed. "I think this a beautiful start to an amazing friendship Mr. Carter." I said. "Likewise Miss. Bohn." He said. Over the years, Tyler and I became best friends and Michael finally apologized for being so mean to me and we became closer. Right now I am with Tyler goofing off at some roller rink. "I am still faster than you." I said skating past him again. "I am letting you win." He said falling. I helped him up. "Come on, we have to get back now anyway." I said. He nodded and we handed in our skates. We arrived home and Scout greeted me with sloppy kisses. "I know you love your mommy." I said kissing his head. He barked as if saying yes. "So I wrote this song and I want you to hear it." Tyler said. "Of course." I said sitting next to him. He started playing it. "Tyler, I have already heard this." I said. "Shush." He said ad began playing again. He played Sophisticated and I listened. "You are sophisticated." He said kissing me. I was shocked. I kissed him back. "That should've happened years ago when I met you." He said. I nodded and kissed him again. "Be mine?" he asked. "I thought I already was since I am this one's momma." I said scratching Scout's head. Tyler smiled and held my hand. "So how long did it take to convince Michael?" I asked. "Three months." He said. "I love you." I said kissing him. He chuckled and kissed me back holding me. "My sophisticated Tatum." He said.
