Warped Tour Bringing Families Together (Alan Ashby)

Valentina's POV

I smiled at Nova as she swung on the swing set. I had her ten years ago. I got really drunk one night and slept with one of my old friends. He knew that I had Nova but he didn't know Nova was his. We visited him a lot till he joined a band in 2011. They were constantly touring or being busy. It was a bright sunny day out in Costa Mesa. I looked up and saw his perfect ginger hair. He was leaving in June to go on Warped Tour. "Val!" He yelled out. I waved. I needed to tell him about Nova. I told Nova that he was her father but she knew he didn't know. She was fine keeping the secret till I told him. Austin and the guys knew. They understood why I didn't tell Alan because he is with Maddie. "Hi Alan." I said smiling. "Where's Nova?" He asked. I pointed to her swinging on the swings. He smiled. "I wish she had her father around. He would be so proud of her. She is so beautiful, smart and talented." He said. Trust me her father knows I thought. "Ya he would be." I said. "Well I was wondering if you and Nova would want to join us on Warped Tour this summer?" He asked. "We would love that." I said. He smiled and hugged me tightly. "We will pick you up tomorrow morning." He said. I nodded and he left. "Mommy, what did he want?" Nova asked. "He wanted to see if we would want to join him and your uncles on Warped Tour for the summer and I told him yes." I said. She smiled and got all excited. We headed home and I started packing. Nova was grooming our black kitten Sophie. I texted Austin quickly if it was okay if we brought Sophie and he said it was fine. We fell asleep after I finished the packing. I woke up early and showered. Nova took a quick shower and the guys came to pick us up. Nova ran straight for Austin and he picked her up hugging her tightly. Phil helped me get our shit on the bus. Alan was already playing with Sophie. We got on the bus and headed to the first venue. We watched them perform. Austin even brought Nova out on stage. Alan kept smiling at her and me. Warped Tour was halfway over now. Alan had been stressed and ignoring Nova and us. Nova was drawing. She finished and ran over to Alan. "Alan, look at my picture. I drew us." She said. "Not now Nova." He said ignoring her. She started to cry. "What did I do wrong? Why do you hate me? Why don't you love me daddy ?" She yelled. Alan looked up at her. She ran from the bus bawling her eyes out. "Did she just call me daddy?" He asked. "YES YOU ASSHOLE BECAUSE YOU ARE HER FATHER!" I screamed at him. "What happened at the party? She is mine." He said. "YES!" I screamed running off the bus after my daughter. I ran around crying. Warped Tour is so huge. What if I can't find her? What if she gets stolen? I started freaking out. I ran to Sleeping With Siren's bus. I knocked on the door and there Kellin stood with Nova on his waist crying. "Nova." I said relieved hugging her. She hugged me tightly. Kellin smiled at me. I thanked him and headed to the monster stage. Nova still wanted to go out on stage with Austin. I saw Alan. I gave Nova to Austin and he walked off. I started crying again. My eyes were swollen by now. "Hey everybody, so for our last song Alan wanted us to play and acoustic song." Austin said. Alan and Phil grabbed acoustics and sat on stools by Austin. Nova sat at Austin's feet smiling. "Hey guys, so as you know Nova is my friend Valentina's daughter. And I have been madly in love with her for the past twelve years. I have been dating all these stupid girls to get her off my mind but it hasn't been working. I always have and will love you Valentina. And Nova I love you. I'm so proud of you and you are so beautiful. I'm glad I found out today that I'm your father. Because baby girl I'm not letting you go." Alan said. My mind started racing. What if he took her away from me and got full custody or he moved away and took Nova with him. "This song is for Valentina Jones." Alan said. I heard the familiar chords to When You Can't Sleep At Night. Tino pulled me out onto the stage. Nova ran over and hugged me. Alan stopped playing and put down his guitar. He walked over to me and placed one hand on my cheek. "I love you Valentina." He said kissing me. I kissed him back. "I love you too Alan. I always have." I said. "Then marry me." He said. I looked at him confused. "Marry me, Valentina?" He asked. I nodded yes. He slipped a beautiful engagement ring on my ring. "When did you get this?" I asked. "All those hours when you and the guys were searching for Nova, I took Austin to Kay Jewelers and got you that." He said. I smiled and kissed him. Then a priest walked on stage. "Seriously." I said. He nodded. Austin put a veil on my head and have me a bouquet. Alan slipped on one of those tux tee shirts. I giggled and went along with everything. Within twenty minutes me and Alan were officially married. "I NOW PRONOUNCE MR AND MRS ALAN ASHBY!" Austin yelled. The fans cheered. "What about Maddie?" I asked. "We broke up months ago so I could find a way to be with you." Alan said kissing me. I kissed him back and he picked up Nova. "I should've married you a long time ago Mrs. Ashby." He said. "That would've been nice Mr. Ashby." I said. I threw my bouquet into the crowd and a some guy caught it. Alan held out his hand and I took it. We walked back to the bus. Finally my family was together. "Nova, I looked at your drawing and it is beautiful. I want to keep it with me everyday and hang it in my bunk on every tour." Alan said. "I would love that daddy." She said hugging him tightly. He kissed her forehead and they headed to his bunk to hang up the picture. The picture was from when Alan visited me in the hospital when I first had Nova and he was holding her. I sat down on the couch. I was so awestruck about what happened today. I looked down at my right hand and saw my beautiful wedding ring. I am married Alan Ashby. The man I love and the father to my daughter. "Mommy are you coming to bed?" Nova asked. "I'll be right there." I said. I walked back to my bunk and changed into a pair of shorts and one of Alan's shirts. I looked in Alan's bunk and they weren't there. I walked back further and they were on the extra bed all cuddled up and ready for bed. Nova was already asleep in Alan's right arm. I crawled in on his left side and kissed him. He kissed me back. "Why didn't you tell me I was her father ten years ago?" He asked. "I was scared that you wouldn't want to stick around." I said tearing up. "Valentina, I would've stayed. I love you and her. I've loved you for so long I can't believe I never asked you out all those years ago." He said. He wiped away my tears. I smiled and he kissed me softly. I kissed him back. I rested my head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "My girls." He said. I smiled and kissed his chest. He kissed my head and we fell asleep.
