AFTER 5 YEARS...

"YES, Daddy I just arrived at the restaurant." I parked in front of the restaurant where I'll be having my meeting.

"Okay, call me when you're done and how it went."

I can't help but roll my eyes. "Yes Dad, I will. Love you."

"Love you too."

I ended the call, throwing my phone inside my bag and fixed myself, checking my makeup on the rearview mirror.

"You can do it, Kathy." I pep talk myself.

I took out my mac lipstick and applied it, when finally satisfied with my looks I went out of my car.

I was on the entrance of the restaurant nang mag-ring ang phone ko.

"Nasaan na yun?" I was struggling looking for my phone na hindi na ako nakatingin sa nilalakaran ko.

"Aww!" Napahawak ako sa ilong ng bumangga ako sa matigas na bagay, I look up and a broad back and shoulder ang sumalubong sa akin, the guy stop walking but didn't even look back at me bago nagtuloy sa paglalakad papasok rin ng restaurant.

"Wow! Sorry ah?" Inirapan ko yung lalaki na hindi ko man lang nakita ang itsura, "Mabango ka pa naman sana. Kaamoy mo si..."

Sinundan ko ng tingin yung lalaki hanggang sa makapasok na siya ng tuluyan, nagkibit balikat ako at naglakad na rin papasok. Huminto na rin ang pagriring ng phone ko kaya hindi ko na pinagkaabalahan na hanapin.

"Good afternoon Ma'am!" Magiliw na bati ng guard na nagbukas ng pinto sa akin.

Ngumiti ako sa kanya at bumaling sa server na lumapit kaagad sa akin. "Reservation under Ms. Ford."

"This way Ma'am." Iginiya niya ako sa table katabi ng wall glass.

Napahinga ako ng malalim when I saw the man sitting on the table I reserved for this meeting.

Hinga malalim, kaya mo to Kathy!

I put on a big smile on my face as I approached the table. "Mr. Sanchez?"

The man look up at me and gave me a nod. "Ms. Ford." He stretch his hand to me for a handshake. "It was a pleasure meeting you."

"Same here." I took a sit in front of him. "Sorry, did I keep you waiting?"

"No, you're just in time. Maaga lang ako." He finally smile, and the seriousness lifted off his face and makes him look younger, he looks like he's already in his thirty's pero hindi makakaila na maganda siyang lalaki at matipuno.

"So shall we start?"

"Why don't we eat first? Let's enjoy our meal before talking business, baka hindi tayo matunawan niyan."

"Of course." Nginitian ko siya at kinambatan ang waiter para makapag-order kami.

THE meeting with Mr. Sanchez went good, fortunately. Even during our lunch ay magaan siya kausap and when we started talking business he's serious.

"So we had a deal?" I confirmed, smiling at him.

"Of course Ms. Ford, I've done business with your father before and I don't think I can ever say no to a beautiful young lady like you."

A blush crept up my cheeks with his compliment that I hid with a smile. "Thank you Mr. Sanchez." Tumayo na ako offering a hand shake with him. "I'll send a copy of the contract to your secretary."
