Chapter 51

"GOOD afternoon po, Ms. Ford." Tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo sa desk ang secretary ni Dan pagkakita sa akin.

"Hi! Where's Dan?"

"Nasa meeting pa po pero malapit ng matapos, kung gusto niyo po hintayin niyo na lang po sa loob ng office niya."

"Oh okay. Nakapag-lunch ka na ba?"

Ngumiti lang siya sa akin. "Hintayin ko na lang po muna si Mr. Padilla if ever he have some instructions to relay regarding sa meeting."

Napatingin ako sa suot ng relo and checked that it's kind of late na for a lunch. "Silly, go have your break. If there's need he can say it to you after you had your lunch."

"But..."

I waved my hand at her. "Go, hindi yun magagalit kapag dumating na wala ka, ako na bahala sa kanya." And I winked at her.

She giggled. "Sige po, Ms. Ford. Thank you." She picks up her bag and left her desk habang ako naman ay pumasok na ng opisina ni Dan.

I took off my white blazer and was left with my black sleeveless dress. Isinabit ko ang jacket sa coat hanger and sat on Dan's swivel chair.

I noticed his phone na nakapatong lang sa desk niya, no wonder he's not answering on my text messages because he left his phone. Kinuha ko iyon at tumambad sa akin ang mukha ko as his wallpaper. Scrolling through his photos which mainly consist of my candid shots na mga kuha niya, our selfies together and more photos of me. What a stalker!

I opened the camera and took a photo making goofy faces. Nang magsawa ay nilipat ko ng video and recorded a message for him.

"Hi Love!" I waved at the camera, smiling. "You left your phone here so I decided na pakialaman and record a message for you which I'm not really sure if you'll be able to watch since you rarely open your phone naman and I want you to know that I checked your phone, making sure kung may mga nakaka-text kang ibang babae." Pinaningkit ko ang mga mata. "No, just kidding! I know naman na hindi mo magagawa yun but you know what I learned? You're a stalker! How could you have so many stolen shots of me? Creep! But I still love you though even of you're a weirdo. You're MY weirdo. I love you!" I kissed the camera and stopped the recording.

Saktong naibaba ko ang phone sa desk nang bumukas ang pinto ng opisina at pumasok si Dan na agad natigilan nang makita akong nakaupo sa likod ng desk niya.

"Hi!" Sumandal ako sa swivel chair niya, getting comfortable.

Sumilay kaagad ang ngiti sa mga labi niya. Hey, I didn't know you're here. Wala kasi ako inabutan sa labas."

"Yeah, pinag-lunch ko na si Mina. You're a mean boss, nag-meeting ka leaving her na naghihintay sa'yo, starving!" Pinaningkitan ko siya ng mga mata.

"Hindi ko lang siya nabilinan na mag-lunch na and don't wait for me and I left my phone kaya hindi ko natawagan." He pulled me off his chair para maupo, settling me on his lap.

"What about you, nag-lunch ka na?" Hinawi ko ang kumawala mula sa pagkaka-brush up ng buhok niya.

Tumango siya. "They served lunch sa meeting. You?"

"Yes, I had lunch with Justin." Napakunot noo ako at nakaramdam ng lungkot. "And I haven't talk to Mara yet about what happened with her and Russell, umiiwas siya every time I try to open the subject."

"Give her time, baka hindi pa siya ready pag-usapan."

"But I'm her best friend and worried na talaga ako sa nangyayari sa kanya but she won't talk to me."

"She'll come through it, at kung hindi na niya kaya ikaw ang unang unang lalapitan niya." He run his hands on my exposed arms.

"What about you, nakausap mo na ba si Russell?"
