It broke my heart to see her like this. Darius took any remnants of happiness and destroyed it, and he will pay for it. Her sobs had faded to sniffles, yet she still had her head buried into my chest.
"Ash?" She croaked, looking up at me.
"Yeah, love?" I saw her flinch at the pet name but I brushed it off.
"Please don't go." The sadness in her voice was enough alone to get her point across.
"Never." We sat in a comfortable silence for a bit before I spoke up. "Cas?"
"Yeah?"
"I wanna show you how beautiful you are, how much you mean to me." I leaned in and kissed her.
