The Secret 2- Part 25

'Oh my cookie!' I gasped.

'What?!' Austin asked.

'I have to go! You're doing great. Just carry on.'

I quickly got my bags and ran out the classroom.

'Maria?!' Austin exclaimed.

I ignored him and carried on running through the corridors. I checked the time and it was 1:20pm.

'Oh cookies! Please be there!' I thought.

I ran outside and ran to the benches. It was full of couples and groups of people eating their food together. I walked over to the bench that Aiden and I usually eat on. I sighed as I saw a small picnic laid out on the table. It was my favourite foods and it was only Lauren, Aiden and Dad who knew so I was certain it was Aiden who prepared it. I sighed as I made my way to the lockers. I got a few books from my locker and sat down on a bench nearby. I spotted Aiden walking by. I quickly ran up to him and said,

'Aiden, I went to the bench. I'm sorry. I completely forgot we were going to meet at lunch. I was helping Austin with his ma-'

'Austin... Austin.. Austin again! Maria, all you ever talk about is Austin!' He snapped.

I was hel-'

'You know how I feel about you! Why can't you just stop talking about Austin for once!'

'I'm sorry!' I said.

I felt a tear drop down to my cheek.

'Maria, I had a surprise for you. But what did you do?! You forgot about me. You've known me all your life and you forgot about me. Wow..' He tutted and walked off.

Tears ran down my face...
