Matt was waiting outside in his car. Mello and I got in the back and Mello instructed him to stop for chocolate first.

"But you have loads of chocolate already."

"Correction, I HAD loads of chocolate, but someone ate it on me." He gave me a death glare and I smiled sweetly back at him.

"No way. And she's still alive?" Matt laughed.

"Hey I'm not that bad." Mello looked upset so I put my arm around him.

"No you're not, don't worry. You're a lovely person, Mells." I kissed his cheek and Matt caught my eye in the mirror, both of us were trying not to laugh.

We got the chocolate and carried on.

"Where are we going anyway?" I asked as I bit into one of my chocolate bars.

"Just to see L." Matt said casually.

"Whoa, what?!" I spluttered.

"What?" Mello asked.

"You can't just spring that on me. I may not know much about your work and stuff but I know how important L is, for Christ's sake."

"Well we just found out too." Matt replied. "Anyway, L is in town for the Kira case. He has a suspect cornered."

"Ok. Is L cute?"

Mello growled with jealously. "No!"
