My eyes wouldn't open, they were stuck together with something. I tried rubbing them but it stung too much and I couldn't breathe either.

I realised I was back there. I hadn't been here in so long. My eyes were full of blood and my lungs full of smoke. I lay on my side crying out, not because of the pain this time, but calling for her.

"I'm here, I'm right by your side."

I heard her sweet voice and I could see her through the smoke now. She sat on the floor beside me, my head cradled in her hands, trying to wipe the blood away from my face.

"Y/N, I couldn't save you."

"You didn't have to. I'm sorry I couldn't save myself."

She bowed her head down as if asking for forgiveness.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

"Sssh, you need to save yourself now. It's too late for me but I'm always with you, I promise."

She started to fade away.

"No! Y/N, come back!" I shouted.

"I can't. I'm so sorry."

"Don't leave me again." I pleaded, reaching my hand out to her.

"Goodbye my love..."

I awoke with a jolt, my hand on my scarred face, and my heart broken all over again.
