"The flight is cancelled!?" Tom said, sighing.

"Cancelled? But you NEED to go tonight!" Luke insisted.

"Did you hear me? They cancelled! What else can I do, Swim across the ocean?" Tom shook his head.

"The next flight to New York is only until tomorrow" he explained.

"Do you still have tickets available for that flight?" Luke asked, sharply, to the Man behind the counter.

"We do, Sir" The man answered quickly and checked his computer for a few seconds.

"We have 3 more empty seats for second class and one for first class" He said, anxiously.

"Take the first class, I need to take you back home, I have a meeting with some producers" Luke said and checked his phone.

"Damn it! I'm sorry, you will have to take a taxi instead, I'm running late" He said and hugged Tom, before running away from the airport.

Tom watched Luke as he ran out and disappeared, between the crowd of people, coming back and going somewhere.

Fixing his bag on his shoulder, Tom walked slowly, while he decided to call an Uber Driver, instead of the taxi, so he wouldn't need to go outside and wait.

15 minutes later, the driver called and fortunately, it was dark and no one seems to notice him when he walked quickly to the black car, waiting for him outside.

Looking through the window, he watched as the people outside in the streets were hurrying to get somewhere.

People were always hurrying to be somewhere, to be with someone, to do something and there was never a time where they stop to breath.

Between those people, he saw a dark blonde haired girl, walking with a tall man next to her.

Her face was so beautiful, so familiar and inviting and he felt good for a second.

She fixed her hair and took a strand of hair from her face, that was bothering her.

She looked sad, but she was smiling kindly.

When Tom straightened his back to look better, Tom thought he saw someone he knew.

It was hard to say, it was dark, she was wearing all black and a beanie was covering her head.

"It's Her!" Tom thought.

But before he could look any further, the car turned around the corner and he lost the sight of her.

"Pardon?" The driver asked, confused to hear the passenger talking alone.

Turns out his thoughts were too loud.

"Oh! sorry, I just thought I saw a friend" He apologised and looked back on the road again, though they were already too far from where he imagined he saw her.

Was he seeing things now? He wondered.

'l'm getting mental' He snorted.

Wasn't already enough that he couldn't stop dreaming about her, thinking about her and now he was 'imagining' her?

...

"I can't remember these streets being so crowded when I lived here" I complained next to Zach while we walked down the street, to get to Humble Grape.
