I arrived in New York two days ago for the event, to be ready and to get everyone ready.

Now in this big kitchen, i was lost.

I've never seen a kitchen this big in person.

We had only minutes, maybe an hour to set all the tables.

I was already dressed up and ready for any inconvenient we could have.

But we had a problem.

The guy that was supposed to prepare the cocktails, was running 30 minutes late.

He was supposed to be in the bar already, preparing the drinks.

Between all the yelling and someone dropping some dishes i hear my phone ringing.

I swear to God if this isn't the guy telling me he's in the back door, someone is going to get fired tonight.

I answered at the third ring, desperate.

"Hello?" I say without looking.

No sound.

I looked at my phone and the call ended.

Did they just hung up on my face?

I searched for the number that just called.

And in that moment he called again.

I looked as it ringed twice, then i picked up the call.

"Tom" I murmured softly.

Like if his name would calm me down.

"Hello, Darling" his voice was like a drug, driving me insane but calming me down at the same time.

Trapped in his spell.

His deep and smooth voice.

I breathed slowly.

Trying to control my need to hear him.

"I miss you"

Three words.

He needed three words to put on edge.

Surrounded by all the mess, the running and the chaos that was being in charge of Georgio's restaurant.

I felt in peace.

Three words, like a fresh air in the middle of summer.

Like a glass of water when you have been thirsty the whole day.

I flinched for a second.

I hope he didn't heard my gasp.

But what else am i supposed to do?

I'm tired of trying to ignore this feeling.

To ignore him.

I remained silent for a few seconds, trying to process what he just said.

Standing there, in the middle of the room, everyone pushing and walking by me.

Truth is...

"I miss you too, Tom"

Alright, it's done.

I delivered my feelings in these 3 words.

My heart was open, ready to be broken.

"Williams! The bartender is here, we need to get ready, now!" The man spoke and i came back to reality.

"I have to go now, i'm sorry" i say with a heavy and deep regret.
