CHAPTER 42: He's back

BIANCA P.O.V

Three weeks before

Nasa hospital daw si dad sabi ni papa. Bigla daw kasing nahimatay papasok pa lang sa office nila. Sabi ng doctor, kailangan nya daw mag rest kasi over fatigue daw sya at may ulcer. Hindi sya pinayagan ng doctor na mag check out pero pinipilit nyang tumakas.

Hindi maiwanan ni dad yung trabaho nya, sabagay million and mawawala kung hindi nya ito asikasohin. Inutusan nya so River na gawin lahat ng trabaho nya pero hindi rin ito kaya ni River kaya tumulong na ako.

Na solve naman namin yung maliliit na problema pero yung mga millions of dollars papers ang hindi ko inaayos. Baka magkamali ako mawala pa sa kanila yun. Graduate na rin ako sa third year ko at nasa fourt year, second semester na ako.

Isang araw, narinig kong may tinatagawan si River at parang umiiyak pa ito habang nakangiti naman si dad. May inabot si dad kay River at inutusan sya na i-fax daw yun. Siguro business partner nila. Pero creepy ha... bakit naman kailangan pang umiyak ni River sa mga investors nila

After one week

Nilabas na nila si dad sa hospital at kaagad naman pumuntang mall para kumain sa restaurant na favourite nya. Talaga naman si dad and kulit nya talaga.

"Kamusta na ang studies mo Bianca?"

"Ok naman po dad."

"I can't wait na mag graduate ka na. Diba last semester mo na ito?"

"Yes po... ready and excited na nga po ako for work." Excited na sagot ko.

"Pwede ka mag apply sa company namin. I will hire you immediately." He offered.

Syempre yun naman talaga ang plano ko.

Naiba naman ang topic namin.

"Do you still going out with your boyfriend?" Tanong ni dad. Napatigil naman ako sa pagkain.

"Yes po. Harry is a good boyfriend." I said.

Bigla na lang natahinik si dad.

"Well to be honest Bianca... I am still hoping that you and Sky will work out. But I think it won't be happening as long you love your boyfriend. I think Sky tricked me for agreeing to that reason he gave me. But of course I will not just sit aside and do nothing. But don't worry I will not include you again in this mess." Pagpapaliwanag ni dad. Pero sa totoo lang ano kaya yung sinabi ni Alapaap sa dad nya at napapayag nya ito.

"Thank you dad."

"No worries Bianca pero basta sa amin ka magtratrabaho ha." Pagpupumulit nya.

"Yes of course dad." I answered.

SKY P.O.V

I instructed River not to sign any contract unless I approved it. I am planning to go back to Philippines after four months. I can't just leave because I have a lot of things to do here in States. But I am also monitoring our business there.

River also said that dad is awake and busy handling the company. But I told River to forbid him to do any job. Dad is so stubborn. I know that Bibingka's family already moved so dad and River is alone.

Well after hearing from River that dad is already working, I immediately conclude that the coma and half brain damage is all lie. Come to think of it, a patient that is coma suddenly have a strength to go back to work. That's impossible but I also decided to go back to my own country.
