CHAPTER 63: Unravelling love

SKY P.O.V

"Hello Russell its me Bianca."

I immediately got out off my sit hearing another name of a man coming out from her mouth. Who is this Russell guy? I thought she was joking saying she knew a possible investor.

"Ha ha ha funny, I called you now because I actually need your help. It's about the investment you mentioned earlier. Is it a hoax just to flirt with me?"

Flirt? Is this guy flirting with her? I don't know why but somehow I feel annoyed right now.

"Who is this Russell guy? Are you with him earlier? Kaya ka ba wala dito kanina?" I asked.

"Oo kumain kami kanina sa isang five star hotel at nakalimutan kung makipagshare ng babayaran kanina sa kanya. Teka nga mamaya na lang natin sya pagusapan at nakakatulog na ako. Napagod ako kanina, ihanda mo na lang yung mga papers na kailangan." She said then she immediately leave. She even commanded me to do some paper works. The nerve wrecking woman.

She was supposed to be my secretary right.

The next morning I woke up late and look at the side of the bed to check whether she's there. Yes I got use to it seeing her besides me. But she isn't besides me this time. Every time she wakes up early I know that she's cooking breakfast or lunch.

I went to the bathroom and took a bath. There is nothing to do today except to think how to get an investor for the factory. When I got out she isn't around and there is a note in the table saying:

'Magluto ka ng breakfast mo at kumain ka na mag-isa sabay lunch mo na rin at dinner.  Wag kang tamad. Baka late na ako umuwi mamayang gabi kaya kung lalabas ka naman go lang.'

What a sweet letter from my very sweet wife.  I suddenly felt anger. What kind of marriage is this anyway? I'm actually planning to take a rest from travelling a lot but I suddenly felt that I should go somewhere before I explode here.

I went to different restaurants just to hang out. I immediately remember that Blake is also here in London so I decided to call him. It's been ages since I called that bastard.

"Hey Sky over here!"

"Hey dude how are you? It's been a while since I met you. How's the marriage life? I actually didn't expect that matutuloy pala ang pagpapakasal mo kay Bianca." Blake asked annoyingly.

"Shut up dude. Don't mention her name."

"Wow a fight already! Hahaha that's normal in some marriages." He jokes.

I knew Blake for a long time, he is my childhood friend, and he didn't change at all. I thought that he already change because of Bianca's friend in which I forgot the name.

"We didn't fight." I said with force, which is the truth.

"Then why is your face looking like that?"

I didn't answer his question and continued to drink some beer. After sometime, I finally hit the bars and I think I have to go home. Blake is also drunk and of course I can only rely my life to the taxi driver.

The next morning I woke up with a headache and went straight to the kitchen to grab some glass of water. I realize that the whole room is quiet and there is no one nagging. The letter in the table is still there as if no one touched it. This rings a bell and that woman actually spend the entire day with that Russell.

I immediately called her.

"Hello" she answered.

"Where are you?" I asked with annoyance.

"Nandito sa bahay nila Russell ininvite ako ng mama nya na mag stay kasi ang lakas ng ulan at basang-basa kami sa ulan." The nerve. I mean a married woman slept at some random guy's house.

"Do you know what time is it? Or should I say what day is it?" I asked angrily.

"Ay oo nga may meeting pala tayo with the Russians at 10:30. Sige pumunta ka na doon at magpapahatid na lang ako Kay Russell mamaya. Sige mamaya na lang uli.... ( toot toot toot...)" She then off the phone.

I suddenly realise that we have a meeting today at 10:30 and it is already 9. I move immediately and take the necessities I have to do. And by 10: 25 I already arrive at the meeting place.

The investors came but the sign of that woman still invisible and so with or without her I have to start. The investors agreed to the contract  and immediately signed it. Even though my mood was bad in the morning it suddenly lightened up. Then a ring on my phone alerts me.

"Sky can you please come with me I am badly needed someone to talk to right now?" Margaret called.

I don't know what to do, is it to wait for Bianca to come or to go to Margaret? I didn't think twice and hurriedly went to Margaret even though I know I shouldn't.

I arrived at her apartment and saw he baking some cupcakes. But her voice earlier seems so down.

"Margaret." I called.

She looked at me and smiled, "You are here. Come! Sky please taste this cupcake isn't it delicious?"

I looked at her and I can see the sadness in her eyes.

"Margaret... please don't do this anymore."

"Why? Because Bianca is waiting for you? From what I see she doesn't even like you. What I mean is you don't like each other right? There is nothing wrong from seeing each other right?" She said.

"I'm a married man now Margaret. Although Bianca and I does not like or love each other it doesn't even change the fact that we are married. You knew how important marriages to me."

I'm about to leave when I Margaret hug me behind and started to cry. Yes I love Margaret before, even though when she got married,  and it doesn't change the fact that I'm still in love with her until now. It actually made me more desperate when I found out that her bastard husband divorced her. It actually gives me more chance to be with her. But I am a married man and have an annoying wife who hates me.

People might see me as a cheater but how can I leave the woman I love crying and begging me to stay. While I don't even know where my wife is. Probably with another man.

I took Margarets hand off me and face her.

"Margaret we can't be together anymore." I know these words are tearing me apart but this is the right thing to do.

"Sky I love you. You knew that." She cried.

I don't know why but my heart is aching. Is it because I am happy that I heard those words once again or is it I know they are just lies that I keep hearing to make me feel useless.

"Margaret I want to believe those words even though it hurts but I decided to become deaf to save my heart from being broken once again. Stop this right now. I know that you still love your husband. I said before leaving her crying.

I know it tear her apart but it pulvurise me.

Tears are pouring in my face and I don't want to be seen like this.

For the pass years, Margaret changed because of her husband who keeps continue cheating on her until he decided to actually leave her.

The next day, I went home and there is no meeting to attend. I went back to hotel and it is empty once again.

I shouldn't expect that Bianca is here. Although our relationship is not in a good terms, I still believe that we shouldn't at least fight. I know that she doesn't even like me nor I even like her. What I feel about her is just a childhood friend feeling but why do I feel betrayed every time I see her with another man? Is this really a complex of being a husband to the wife you don't love?

Well anyway, Bianca can also do whatever she wants but it is also a courtesy for her to at least hide it from my eyes. I mean I am still her husband. She should at least consider my rights. What would other people will say of ever they see that she is cheating on me and I not to her. Man should rather cheat than woman it is just like circle of life.
