In "Season 1, Episode 2: The Lorelais' First Day At Chilton" Lorelai woke up later than she wanted and she had everything all set, but her alarm doesn't go off. Here's my take on it! It may contain spoilers!!!

Prr Prr. Lorelai wakes Rory up she runs into her own room and throws her clothes on. She rushes in into Rory's room again.
"Honey, Rory, it's time to get up. Get up!!!!!".
After Lorelai wakes Rory up she runs into her own room and throws her clothes on. She rushes in into Rory's room again.
By the times Rory was down the steps and ready to go, it was 7:15 am. and Lorelai was waiting for Rory, by the door so they can get out the door so they can still go to Luke's diner for breakfast.
"Hurry Rory, hurry, hurry, hurry, let's go". They rushed out of the door.
They arrive at Luke's Diner, quickly got a couple of doughnuts and, of course, coffee, they go on their way to Chilton.
