~Author's Note~
In "Season 4, Episode 6 : A Affair to Remember", Sooki and Lorelai was catering Richard's and Jason's Launch party for their business and Emily was planning the whole thing. Then Jason had already planned a trip to Atlantic City and belittled Emily for putting on those corporate business/ charity events, and Emily says yes it could. Here's an alternative (AU) of it, that should've happened.

(No one's POV)
"Actually, Emily I've already planned a trip to Atlantic City", Jason said, obliviously. He had not realized that Emily had worked for weeks on this launch party and had worked for weeks on this launch party and then Jason comes in, and ruins it all.
"Atlantic City"? Emily scoffed. "I never heard of such a thing".
"Emily has already planned a wonderful party", Richard put in, after a couple of seconds of silence.
"I'm sorry Emily, but I think people are going to have a much better time in Atlantic City gambling and drinking, instead of sitting or standing around open buffet tables covered with lace linens", Jason said. He didn't understand what the fuss was all about.
"Well, Emily, can it be changed", Richard asked Emily.
"Richard of course it can't changed", Emily huffed, she could not believe that Richard could ask such a thing. "Lorelai and her friend have already started making the food for it, and everything is all done, I just need your partner's guest list, if he doesn't like that arrangement, he doesn't have to show up, but it would be very unfair for me to call Lorelai said say that I don't need her food anymore".
"But, Emily, it's already set", Jason said.
"That's enough Jason, Emily is right. Now my wife has worked all this time on a launch party for us and our clients. If you don't want that, you can take back all of your clients, and go back to working with your father. End of discussion" Richard said, angrily. The nerve of this boy, upsetting Emily like that and belittling her like that, he thought as walked away.
Jason and Emily stared at each other for couple of minutes.
"Emily, I" Jason was starting to feel bed about what he said.
"Jason, I think you better go now".
"Emily, I just want to say...", Jason said.
"Jason, you better go before I say something that I regret", Richard said, coming out of his study. "I accepted you be gone by now".
"I just leaving Richard", Jason said as he walked out of the door. "You can forget about me going to business with you", Richard yelled after him.
"Thank you, Richard", Emily said, appreciatively.
"Well, he shouldn't have done that", Richard giving Emily a hug. "I'm going to go back to work now". Walking back into his study.
"Okay", Emily answered, going to back to work on Richard's launch party.
