"Gilmore Girls" (One Shots)

~How could you do this, Lorelai?~ (1x11)

~Author's Note~

In, "Season 1, Episode 11: Paris Is Burning" Lorelai's relationship with Max is still going on, but Lorelai think it's getting too much so she ends up trying to break it off with him, but it does not go very well and it kind of spiraled out of control and the entire school found out about Max and Lorelai being together. 

Rory, finding out about it confronts Lorelai on the stairwell. Of course, like always Lorelai gets defensive.

Later that night Lorelai and Rory are at Friday Night Dinner. Lorelai asks Rory to not show any anger toward Lorelai, because she can't deal with Emily. But, Emily already found out about Max and Lorelai being together.

This one-shot is about that confrontation, I do think that Rory and Emily both let Lorelai off the hook too soon. This will be written in No one's POV. Hope you enjoy reading this.

(No one's POV)

The maid opened the door and let Lorelai and Rory inside and into the living room. 

"Hey, Mom", Lorelai called out, like nothing was going on. 

"Evening, girls" Emily answered back.

Lorelai and Rory both sat down. Just as they sat down, Emily asked Rory to go to Richard's study to tell him to come to have drinks with them.

Rory, not thinking anything was weird or not of the ordinary, began to get up to go.

Lorelai, was standing up to go and follow Rory, but then Emily called out to her and said, "Not so fast Lorelai, Lorelai stopped in her tracks and looked at Emily.

"Sit down", Emily said, firmly.

Lorelai sat back down, defeated. She was going to have to sit there, alone with Emily, until Rory came back.

As soon as Lorelai sat back down, Emily started in on her.

"How could you do this, Lorelai"? Emily exclaimed.

Lorelai, didn't say anything and just looked at her shocked.

"What are you talking about Mom"? Lorelai asked, innocently.

"I'm talking about the fact that you are in a relationship with one of your daughter's teachers", Emily said.

"Mom. How did you find out about that? Did one of your spies tell you", Lorelai exclaimed.

"No, Headmaster Charleston wife told me, she and I are very good friends", Emily explained. "Now, Lorelai, why would you do this"?

"Mom. I was going to break up with him, actually, I don't need to explain myself to you. What business is it to you", Lorelai said, defiantly. 

"This effects Rory. Did you even consider how this would affect Rory? Lorelai, Rory has to be in that school for another 2 to 3 more years, and already she has a reputation as having a mother, who is involved as a teacher. Did you think about this"? Emily questioned her.

Lorelai looked at her and said, "I was going to break it off with him Mom. I let it go too for, because now people know about it".

Emily looked at her and said, "Well, I'm glad you know that".

Lorelai and Emily stare at each other. Just then Rory and Richard came back in and they all went forward with their night.
