This is after Rory went golfing with Richard and that she tells Lorelai that she had a good time, while she Lorelai is jealous but will not admit it. This takes place after Rory get off the phone with Richard, in Episode, "Season 1, Episode 3: Kill Me Now".

(No one's POV)
Lorelai was listening to Rory's conversion with Richard on the phone. She was starting to feel jealous and couldn't understand that Rory could have so much fun with her Dad and Mom, like Rory used to do with her.
"Oh, good your back" she said, "yeah I'm back why?". Rory said, curious why Lorelai would ask such a thing. "I was just talking to Grandpa about a book that he was going to give me at Friday Night Dinner".
"Well I was thinking that since you went off on playing golf with Dad that we could write that off as one of the Friday Night Dinners that we have to go to".
Rory was starting to think that Lorelai was jealous of Rory's relationship with her parents. "You're jealous that I'm starting to have a relationship with them"....."Plus playing golf with Grandpa does not qualify to take the place of Friday Night Dinners".
After Lorelai got over the shock of what Rory just said to her she said, "Yes, I admit I'm jealous".
"We made a deal to have Friday Night Dinners with Grandma and Grandpa away Friday night, and we are going to go".
