In, "Season 3, Episode 22: Those Are Strings, Pinocchio" After financial aid for Rory to go to Yale fell through. Rory had agreed with Lorelai to have Emily and Richard to pay for Yale, even after Lorelai said that Richard and Emily was going to be paying for it. Rory keeps harping to Lorelai that this is her thing, that the Friday Night Dinners are her thing with them. Lorelai didn't have to be involved, since it's no obligation for her to be there anymore. Well, in this one-shot, what if Rory makes that clear to them, that it is only her thing. Hope you enjoy!!!

Rory is sitting in front of both of Richard and Emily. She was very nervous, as she has to ask again for money for her school. This however, is her only option, but she knew that she had to ask them and she should ask them, what she wanted to ask them.
"Okay, I'm here to ask for money for me to go to Yale. Financial aid didn't happen and we can't find out anything else and I want Mom to be able to open her inn, which she will not be able to if she has to pay for Yale. I will reinstate Friday night dinner and it will be only my commitment, Mom has nothing to do with it, plus she has no idea that I am here. I would like to keep this between you and me. Please don't tell Mom. I will, I just need to find that perfect time to tell her.
Richard and Emily agreed and smiled, they were going to have their granddaughter back!
