~Author's Note~

This chapter is about that dreaded thing that Rory had put off. Letting Lucy know that she actually knows Marty from their first year at Yale.

Now, there were many opportunities to say to Lucy to Marty and her were friends and then in "Season 7, Episode 10: Merry Fisticuffs", Logan reveals that they have known each other. Rory is upset.

Now, in my opinion if she was going to even plan on telling her, she should have done it sooner. Because,  even though it would have been awkard, how it turned out was pretty bad and maybe if she didn't wait, and just told her. This is a one-shot about this conversation. Hope you enjoy!!

(No one's POV)

One day, while Rory was hanging with Lucy. Lucy's boyfriend, Marty came by. While he was there, Rory felt very uncomfortable. She knew that she could take it anymore, she had to tell her.

So, when Marty felt, while Lucy and Rory were sitting down. Lucy started say something.

"Oh, isn't he great"? Lucy said, happily she was very happy with her boyfriend.

Rory just smiled at her and is uncomfortable. "Yes, he is. I always have thought so".

Lucy just looked at her, "Rory, what do you mean"?

Rory knew that she slipped up.

She sighed, "Lucy, I don't know how to tell you this but I already knew Marty, even before you introduced me to him. In my first year here".

"Why didn't you or him tell me before"? Lucy asked, confused.

"When you introduced me to Marty, he pretended that that was the first time that we met, that we hadn't been friends".

"Oh", Lucy said.

"I'm so sorry, Lucy".

"No it's okay".

Rory and Lucy looked at each other, in silence.

"Was there ever anything between you two"?

"No, of course not. I just wanted you to know".

Lucy smiled at her and said, "It's okay. Thank you for letting me know".

"You're welcome".

Just then Marty came back in and they both stared at him seriously. Yup, Marty had some explaining to do.
