This is the second part of the story "Never call him again", at the end of the chapter before, Lorelai is going up to check on Rory, after the ugly confrontation with Christopher.

(No one's POV)

Lorelai walks up the flight of stairs to the bedroom, where Rory stays when she stays there at night. She walks in, and sees Rory face down on the bed crying. She was very upset about the confrontation with Christopher, as it is her first one.

"Honey, Rory, you okay"?

Lorelai walked toward Rory and hugged her, and said, "Are you okay".

"No, I'm not".

"Honey, did you mean what you said about Dad, about him again to go to be someone else's Dad"?

"Yes, I meant it".

"Honey...", Lorelai started.

"No Mom, he does this over and over again. He makes promises that he can't keep and we believe him, that he will be there for you and me, and we fall for it and believe him. Then as soon as you and him starting to get close, he leaves and we are left to picking up the emotional baggage that he leaves, and all he does is make excuses and often blame you and me for him leaving, and blamed you for keeping me away from him".

"Rory". Lorelai started, she didn't want anything that went on with Christopher to affect Rory's relationship with him.

"No, Mom, you had nothing to do with me not talking to him. That was my choice".

"Okay".

Not that Lorelai got Rory settled down and made her feel better, she asked, "Honey, you want to go down there to have dinner, or go home"?

"Here dinner downstairs, I'm staring".

Lorelai and Rory got up from the bed, and walks downstairs. Emily was waiting for them in the foyer.

"Rory, are you okay", Emily said, concerned.

"Yeah, Grandma, I'm fine".

"If you girls want to leave, without having your dinner, I understand".

"No, Grandma, I'm fine".

"Yeah, Mom, she's fine".

"Grandma, thanks for telling Dad to leave".

"Your welcome, Rory". Emily said, she liked Christopher but her feelings were different when she overheard him baiting them, and making excuses for his actions, and blaming them.

"Now, the dinner is getting so why don't we sit down and have a nice dinner.

Lorelai and Rory walked to the dining room, Emily soon joined them, and they eat dinner talking about anything else besides what just had happened with Christopher.
