"Gilmore Girls" (One Shots)

~Sending the ring back to Christopher (2)~ (Around 7x14)

~Author's Note~

This is the second installment of the first one-shot, entitled, "I'm done, Christopher, I'm done". In this one-shot, is about Lorelai sending Christopher back her ring, after she got his address. This is written in Lorelai's POV.

(Lorelai's POV)

After I know that Dad was okay, and leaving Rory and Logan with Mom. I walk out of the hospital, go to my car to the post office. I'm doing that so I can put my wedding ring into a shipping package. I'm going to be doing that so I can send my ring back to him, with a little note, with the ring, basically to say the same thing that I said in the phone message. I'm putting it in a note, to make sure he gets what I want him to know, that has for a I was concerned his and my marriage was over. He was not the same sensitive, caring person that I knew before. This Christopher was jealous, non assistant, and absent (the Christopher that he started being, when Rory was born).

When I finally get to the post office, I get out of my car. I walk on the post office.

I grab a box, to ship it back to him. I put the ring in the shipping package, plus a little note that I wrote to him:

*Here is Lorelai's letter*

Christopher -

Here is my wedding ring. It's over. I've made up my mind, so don't try to romance me into coming back.

If you had came to the hospital, I would have changed my mind, and maybe we could have talked and maybe had moved past this, but you didn't, so this is goodbye.

P.S. Oh, and by the way, that letter that I wrote for Luke was a character reference, so he could keep contact with his daughter. You, of all people should know how that feels.

(Back to Lorelai's POV)

Finally, I'm at the front of the line. I walk up to the next available person to help me. I hand her my package, which was already addressed, which I addressed while I was waiting in line.

I was hoping that she would not ask me what I was sending, I didn't really want to tell her, I would have had to tell her that I was sending my wedding ring back, and I didn't want her to feel sorry for me.

Luckily for me, she didn't ask me, and I didn't offer up that information.

I just paid, and gave her the package and left.

I know tat we know what kind of man that Christopher and also what kind of father he was, while Lorelai was pregnant and while Rory was growing up. Now, Christopher in their junior high and high school years, well we don't know what he was like then, but he must have done something to make Lorelai to fall in love with him, so I just made up (that first part).
