In, "Season 5, Episode 13: Wedding Bell Blues", Emily calls Lorelai in the panic about her dress and there is a loose sequin and then she calls Lorelai, asking her to fix the loose sequin. This is about when Emily finds the loose sequin.

Emily is going crazy, and nothing is going right with the wedding preparations. She went to take another look at the dress that she was wearing for her vow renewal and at first glance at it looked fine. Then she saw the loose bead.
"Oh, no", she thought she didn't have time to have another thing to deal with, not that she did have a lot of time.
Then she thought, oh I will just go to Lorelai's house and have her fix it for me. That's what I'll do.
Emily gathered the dress then, and then she immediately walked out of the house, got into her car and drove to Lorelai's house.
