~Taking Lorelai Out on the Town~ (5x15)

In, "Season 5, Episode 15: Jews and Chinese Food", Marty and Rory were hanging out watch old Harpo Marx movies, then Logan came by, and then invited Rory and Marty out to dinner with his friends. Well what if it is Lorelai instead, and it helps take her mind off her and Luke's relationship.

Lorelai and Rory is sitting on Rory's and Paris's couch watching some Harpo Marx movies. Lorelai was hanging out there because she didn't feel like being alone, after what happened with her and Luke.

All of a sudden there's a knock at the door, Rory gets up to answer the door, and there standing at the other side of the door was Logan. Rory stepped outside the door, into the hallway.

"Hey, what are you doing here"? She asked.

"Well, I just got back, and I just wanted to see you", he answered, and smiled at her.

"Oh, well, how was your trip", Rory asked him.

"Boring, really boring. I really don't want to talk about it. A bunch of us, is going to go to the Chinese place that is down town, grab your jacket and come".

Rory looked at him, and said, "I can't. She did actually want to go, but she didn't want to leave alone. Especially at this time with everything that happened with Luke.

"Come on, I want to see you I miss you".

Rory hesitated, "I kind of have company", she said as she opens the door. Logan looked in and sees Lorelai on the couch. "Oh, hey Lorelai", she said.

"Logan", Lorelai said, nodding at him.

Rory looked back at him, "Her boyfriend, Luke broke up with her, so I'm trying to cheer her up".

"Well, she's welcome to come along".

"Would you wait a minute. I'll be out in a minute".

"Okay, I'll be outside, out near the car", Logan said, walking away.

Rory closed the door, and walked over to Lorelai "Mom, we don't have to go", she said. She actually did want to go, but she didn't leave her mom alone".

"No, it's okay, honey. I should just go back to Stars Hallow anyway. Go and have fun".

Rory shook her head at her, and said, "No, Mom, you are coming".

"Rory, I know you're concerned about me, but I'm fine". Lorelai said, she knew Rory would probably want to spent time alone with Logan.

"Mom, you are always saying that, and it's never true. So, come on. No excuses, you are coming with us".

"Okay, I will" Lorelai said.

Lorelai grabs her jacket, and Rory does too. Rory locked her and Paris's door on the way out. They walk toward the black SUV, and Logan was waiting outside the car waiting for them. He shook hands with Lorelai. They looked at each other awkwardly since it was the first time since Lorelai had walked in on them at Emily and Richard's vow renewal, and also the fact that both Luke and Christopher barged in also. "Mom, this is Logan. Logan this is my mom, Lorelai".

"Yes, nice to meet you, Logan".

"Nice to meet you too", Logan answered.

Rory turn to Logan, and said, "Well that went pretty well, "so where are we going"?

"We are all going to go to the Chinese place down town, okay"?

"That's sounds fine to me", Lorelai said, and Rory agreed. Logan then opened the car door. Rory, Logan and Lorelai pilled in.

"Hi, Guys. This is my mom, Lorelai". Rory said to Colin, Finn, Juliet, and Rosemary, who were all in the car. They all shook hands with Lorelai. 

When they finally pull up at this location. They all got out. They walked into the restaurant, Logan asked for the private room. They all sat down. Rory looked besides her, and on one side there was Lorelai, and then all other side of her, Logan was seated next to her on the other side.

As Lorelai was sitting there, she noticed how attentive Logan was to Rory, as Luke used to do with her. She didn't want to show her sad face. So she put on her society face, hoping no one would notice, but that was not completely true.

"Mom, you okay"?, Rory asked her, leaning to the side.

Lorelai smiled at her and said, "Yeah, I'm fine".

Rory smiled back at her, but she wasn't so convinced. 

After they were done, they decided to go somewhere else. Then all of a sudden, Lorelai said "excuse me" and left the table. Rory excuses herself and stands up to leave the table, "I'll be right back".

Rory left the room, and come up to Lorelai, and said, "Mom, you okay"? She asked, even if she already knew what her answer was.

Lorelai looked at her, and said, "Yeah, hon, I'm fine. I'm just tired".

"Okay. Do you want to you to drive you back to Yale, to get your car"?

"No, it's okay, honey. I'll just take a cab back home. Then in the morning, I can take another cab over to Yale to get my car. You go back inside, with Logan and the others, and have fun".

"Are you sure"? Rory said. She really did want to stay with the others but she want to make sure that Lorelai was okay before Lorelai left to go back home, and also before she went back to the others.

"Yes, I'm sure. Now, thanks for tonight. It helped".

Rory smiled at her, "Good I'm glad it helped".

"Okay, goodbye, hon. Have fun", she said, as she walked out of the restaurant. When she was a good amount away from Rory, Rory followed her, and when she went outside the restaurant Rory comes up behind her and peeks through the window of the restaurant, and sees Lorelai standing out there waiting for a cab. Finally a cab did come, and she climb into it.

After making sure that Lorelai was going to be okay, she went back into the back room of the restaurant, where Logan and the rest of his friends were waiting. Logan looked at her with concern, he came over to her and said, "you okay, Ace"? She asked, putting on arm around her.

Rory looked at him and said, "I don't know".

Logan looks out toward the front door, where Lorelai just went out, and then looked at Rory and asked, with concern, "Is she okay"?

Rory looked at him sadly, and said, "I don't know".

Logan tightened his grip, and pulls Rory closer to him, and says, "Well she has you to be there for her". 

Rory looked up and smiled at him, weakly.
