"Gilmore Girls" (One Shots)

~Sherry's in labor Dad...(1)~ (3x13)

~Author's Note~

In, "Season 3, Episode 13: Dear Emily and Richard", Sherry had gone into labor early. Christopher was out of town (what else is new), and but Christopher does manage to arrive just time. However, this is a one-shot about what would have probably if he said that he couldn't be there, and Rory had to help Sherry. This will be written in Rory's POV, and this will be written in three parts.

(Rory's POV)

I'm very stressed out. I'm at the hospital with Sherry, someone I don't even know well enough to be the hospital with her while she gives both but I'm the only one that is able to help her. Sherry must not have very good friends, if they can't even be there for their friend, who is about to give birth.

Now, I'm in the middle of help Sherry with her work, that she needs to get done. Dad, seriously needs to get here soon.

Just then, the doctor comes in, and asks Sherry how she was doing. I take one look at her face, I saw the horrified look on her face, she was very scared. I reach over, and grabbed her hand, and squeezed it. Sherry looked up at me and smiled at me, the I remembered that we were no the only people in the room, Sherry and I looked up, face to face with the doctor. He looked at us, and asked again, "How are you feeling"?, he asked.

"I'm not sure. I'm a little scared. This wasn't supposed to happen still next week. My finance was supposed to be here, but he's away on business, and he hasn't been reached", Sherry said, still holding onto my hand.

"So, if your finance, doesn't show up. Who do you have to be in the room with you", the doctor asks.

I look in the face of Sherry. Oh, no, no. She can't be asking me to be in the room with her, while she was giving birth.

"Oh, please, Rory", she said, looking at me. She looked at me, and after I saw her face, I relented, and said, "Okay, yeah, I will", I said.

The doctor checked Sherry's progress and then left. I have to try to get Christopher (Dad) on the phone. I need to find out what is so important that he is missing out of Gigi's birth.

"Sherry, I'm going to get some coffee, so I will be able to stay up with you. I'll be back", I said. She nods and I walk out of the door and I stood out of the hallway.

I didn't really want to get any coffee, I just told Sherry that so she wouldn't worry. I don't think that Christopher (Dad) is going to be there, but I just want to call him again.

(No one's POV)

Rory opens her phone as soon as she went out into the hallway. She dialed Christopher cell phone. After a few minuted, he answered.

"Hi, Dad", he said. She must have called him in a panicky voice, because he said, "Rory, what's wrong"?

She sighed, and said, "Sherry's in labor Dad. You need to leave wherever you are, and come to Boston Memorial, to be there with her".

Christopher sighed, and says, "Rory, listen. I'm not going to be able to make it".
