~Author's Note~
In Season 4, Episode 19: "Afterboom". After Family Night Dinner Emily get in her car to go to a hotel with her dry cleaning. Lorelai has a hunch that something was up with her parents. Here is my take on it.
(I DON"T OWN GILMORE GIRLS, I just like writing about it).
I own nothing that has anything to do this with any place that is mention in this part.

(Lorelai's POV)
"I'm sorry, this might sound crazy, but is my mother not staying here tonight". My mom has just left with dry cleaning after Friday Night Dinner, also no one said a word at Dinner. Also there was no dessert at the dinner, which there's always one.
"Yeah, I know that was weird", Rory replied.
The reason that we were surprised about that, is because my mother will never be caught in staying in a hotel. It was weird at dinner too Mom and Dad pretending everything is fine when obviously everything is anything but fine.
"Well I've to go back to Yale, I have some more work to do". Rory said, taking me out of my thinking. Oh, okay hon, go ahead and go, I'll call some of the local Hotels and see where she is, won't worry".
After Rory drive off I called Jason, told him to meet me at the coffee house tomorrow.
After I got home I started calling all the hotels that she could've gone.
1. Hampton Inn & Suites Hartford/East Hartford - 4.3 stars
I found the phone number and I called it.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
"Hello", a voice answered.
"Hi, yes, I would like some information about a guess".
"Oh, of course, name please?"
"Emily Gilmore".
"Okay, let me see", No one by that name is staying here, I'm very sorry".
"Okay, thanks, Goodbye".
Okay, one down, moving on.
Some thing happened when I called 8 more places.
Then I called the Grafton Hotel.
Ring. Ring.
"Hello".
"Hi, yes, I will like some information about a guess".
"Oh, of course, name please?"
"Emily Gilmore".
"Okay yes she's here, Room 421".
"Okay, and what is the length of visit?" -
"It says indefinite".
