In, "Season 5, Episode 6: Norman Miller, I'm Pregnant!" Christopher calls Lorelai in a panic with Gigi, staying that Sherry was out of town and then when Lorelai comes to Christopher's house. Christopher tells her that Sherry left him and Gigi, that she wrote him a note. This is what I think that letter would say.

Christopher just got home from Seattle, he was excited to see Sherry and their daughter, Georgia, "Gigi". Soon as she opened the front door and the whole house was a total mess, Sherry is nowhere to be found and Gigi is with the nanny. She looked Christopher in the eye, she walks over to him and gave him a note, which said the following.
Christopher, Sometime in 2004
I don't know how to say this, but I got a job in Paris, so I'm leaving. I can't pass up a great job opportunity, plus I have put my job, my life on hold while you went on business trips for two years, while I stay home with Gigi. Now it's your turn to be the parent.
