~Author's Note~

In, "Season 3, Episode 6: Take the Devil Eggs...", Lorelai and Rory are invited to Sherry's baby shower, Lorelai was only going to drop Rory off and then go home. Sherry, however, asked her to stay for the baby shower. So, Lorelai already in a bad mood, stayed at the baby shower, out of being polite. Then all of a sudden as if that wasn't enough, out of nowhere Sherry thanks Lorelai for telling Christopher to come back to her. Lorelai is in a bigger bad mood, then Sherry offers to have Rory stay with her and Christopher for a couple of days in Boston. Then Rory and Lorelai are in the bathroom, and they start fighting about how clean and organized the bathroom closet is. What if she actually tells Sherry the truth, and what actually did happen.

(No one's POV)

Lorelai is very bored. She was also annoyed by what Sherry had told her about that she was the one who convinced Christopher to come back to Sherry after she told Christopher that she was pregnant. Finally she felt that she had to say something to Sherry.

So Lorelai decided to tell her. Lorelai walked up to Sherry, and said, "Sherry, can I talk to you"?

"Sure", Sherry said. She had absolutely had no idea what was about to happen.

Lorelai and Sherry walked over to the side, so nobody else wouldn't hear what they were talking about.

"I was not going to say anything, but I can't not say anything", Lorelai said. She felt bad of what she was about to say but she couldn't say nothing.

"Honey, what is it? I kind of consider you and Rory my family", Sherry said. She had no idea what was about to happen.

Lorelai smiled at her, and thought to herself, you say that now, but you might have another opinion of me, after I tell you what I 'm about to say.

"You know how you said that I had convinced Christopher to come back to you, and you thanked me for doing that? Well in reality I didn't convince him, he left me and he choose you".

Sherry looked at Lorelai shocked, she had no idea, that's how it happened. "But, I thought, but he told me.." Lorelai interrupted her and said, "that's what he would like you to believe but that's not true".

Sherry was shocked. She had to sit down. Sherry and Lorelai both went into kitchen to sit at the kitchen table, and Sherry said, "Lorelai, not tell me what's going on".

Lorelai didn't know if she should actually be telling this to Sherry or not, but Sherry wanted to know what was going on, so she pushed away her own feelings, and said, "Well you know, when you were away on business, and you had 'the talk' about your relationship"?

"Yes, I remember, but how do you know about conversation"?

"While you were way on your business trip, Christopher come to Stars Hollow to see us, Rory was having cast off".

"Wait, Rory was in a cast"? Sherry asked, since she didn't know about Rory arm being in a cast.

"Yeah, she broke her waist, she was in a car accident".

"Oh, I'm sorry", she said. She was even more confused.

"Thanks, anyway, and I asked him how he could there for us, since he's with you, and he had Rory with me, so there is history with us. He said that you were out of town, and I asked him if you would mind if he was visiting us. He was very hesitate about telling me, but then I kind of pushed him to tell me, and he said that they two were having problems, that you were going on a business trip and that he was thinking about telling you that he was going to be looking for an apartment and he was going to move out of the apartment that you two share. Then the next day, he comes with me and Christopher to my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner, and then he seduces me. Sherry trust me I was hesitant, but he convinced me that you and him were done, so we slept together. He then said that he would try to rekindle our relationship".

"Oh", Sherry said, this is the first time that she was hearing this, since Christopher didn't say anything.

"Then the next day, it was my friend's wedding, it's when you also called, and told him that you were pregnant, and that he was leaving me and coming back to you, because you were pregnant, he said that since he missed the first time, he didn't want to miss it again, and so he left".

"But he said, that you told him to go to be with me".

"No, I didn't. He had already made up his mind, that he was going to do, he just want me to ask him to stay". Then when I told him, to go home to be with you, and it was almost like he was mad at me, for me not making him stay, and he said to me, "you know how long I've been waiting for this Lore. You, me, and Rory the whole package. Then he left. "Sorry but I had to tell you".

Sherry just sat there looking at her, stunned. After about a minute, she looked at Lorelai again and said, "Then why did he say, what he said to me"?

"So he would make himself less guilty for not wanting to come back to you. So if he said that I persuaded him to go back to you. Not that he actually wanted to stay with me and Rory".

"Well, thanks for telling me the truth about what happened".

"Your welcome, now I think it's time for me and Rory to leave", Lorelai said, as she was ready to leave, and she didn't think that it would help Sherry any, if they stayed a little longer.

"Well, thanks for coming".

Lorelai smiled at her and then went into the other room, to get Rory, so they could leave quickly. As she didn't want to be there a minute more then she had to.

"Rory, it's time to leave", Lorelai said, walking up to her.

"Did something happen, Mom. What did you say to Sherry".

"I told her the truth about what happened with Chris".

"You didn't"!! Rory exclaimed. "Oh, mom, you didn't".

"Yes, I did, and that's why we have to leave now", Lorelai said, picking up her and Rory's coat and walking toward the door. "I'll tell you everything, when we get in the ear, and on the way back home".

As soon as Lorelai and Rory got into the car, Rory immediately turned to her then said, "Okay, Mom, now tell me what did you tell her"?

"I told her what happened between Christopher and me", Lorelai said, calmly.

Rory looked at her mother open mouthed, "Mom, you didn't".

"Yes, I did, I had to".

"Why did you have to"?

"Because Sherry came up to me, and actually thanked me for persuading Christopher to come back to Sherry".

Rory stared back at her stunned.

"Well, that was a total lie".

"Yeah, I know, I wasn't going to say anything but finally I just couldn't stand it anymore, plus, I've known him longer then she has, and yet she was saying all of these things about him that I never knew about him".

"So, you told her about what happened"?

"Yes, and I told her what really happened with me and Christopher. Christopher had lied to her".

"Is that why she kind of looked upset when you and her came out of the kitchen at Sherry's house"?

"I guess so".

"I feel bad for Dad", Rory said, laughing.

"Why don't you or anything feel bad for him"?

"Because, I'm just thinking about what's going to happen when Christopher (Dad) gets home".

"Why is that making you laugh", Lorelai said, she was very confused, as to why that would be funny to Rory.

"Because when he comes home he's going to have to deal with a very angry Sherry, when he comes home, because he lied to her, and didn't tell her the truth".

"Yeah", Lorelai said, she then turned forward, and continued driving, and for all the rest of the ride home, neither Rory or Lorelai said anything, for the rest of the way home.
