~Author's Note~

This is in, "Season 7, Episode 13: I'd Rather Be in Philadelphia, and "Season 7, Episode 12: To It May Concern". In "Season 7, Episode 12: To It May Concern", Christopher found the letter that Lorelai wrote for the character reference for Luke to get custody of April and Christopher found the letter and then he confronts Lorelai about it, then he says, "I can't be your rebound". Then in "Season 7, Episode 13: I'd Rather Be in Philadelphia", Lorelai can't get a hold of Christopher, because he was upset with her. In this one shot, explores what would happened if Rory called Christopher, and told him to come, and she also tells him that he was always her rebound.

(Rory's POV)

Ugg, Dad should be here by now, I'm so angry at him.

"Mom, have you tried Dad again".

"No".

"Mom, what did he say"? "Anything"?

"What do you mean? You mean before he left"?

"Yes".

"He said that he was leaving, and that he couldn't be my rebound, and now he's gone".

"Oh, mom, I'm sorry". Rory said, then all of a sudden, Rory getting very mad at Christopher, turned toward Lorelai and said, "I'm about to give a piece of my mind, then".

Rory walked down the hallway, until she was out of earshot of anyone that could be overhearing her conversation to Christopher, since she didn't want anyone to overhear the conversation.

She dialed Christopher's phone number and got his answering machine again. After leaving an very angry phone message on Christopher voicemail inbox, she went to sit with Lorelai and Emily again.

*In Canada somewhere*

(No one's POV)

Christopher Hayden had been in meetings all day, and he had had his phone off, first of all, he was going to be in meetings all day and he didn't want to be disturbed, and second, he was still mad at Lorelai, and he knew that she would try to call him, and having not wanting to deal with it just then he had shut his phone off, but finally he thought that he would turn his phone back on.

10 messages in his inbox. 9 from Lorelai and 1 from Rory.

Christopher listened to the message from Rory, she sounded more mad then he ever had heard her before. "Oh, no", he thought, "Lorelai must had told her that Lorelai and I had a big fight and that I told Lorelai that she couldn't be her rebound". I should probably go and make this right, at least try to patch things up with them, the question is, well they listen?
