(Author's Note)
In "Season 6, Episode 15: A Vineyard Valentine" Lorelai, Luke, Logan and Rory spend the Valentine's Day weekend at Martha's Vineyard. Since Lorelai and Luke got engaged without Rory, since Lorelai and Rory was not talking. What if Luke really bought Lorelai a Valentine's Day gift and it was another engagement ring, and redid the proposal for Rory to witness it.

(No one's POV)
Lorelai looks on while Logan gives Rory her Valentine's Day present, happy that Logan was giving her something that made Rory happy. She also felt a little uncomfortable, especially since Luke probably didn't get anything for her, Luke wasn't big on Valentine's Day, but this year he thought since they were engaged, that they had a couple hard months because of him, being with April, his daughter, that he would do something for her. Little did Lorelai know that Luke had a little box on his lap that he was fiddling with, under the table.
"Yeah, here happy Valentine's Day", Luke said, giving here the box. Surprised, Lorelai, not expecting anything from Luke this year. She opened the box and she found a ring with diamonds that matched her engagement ring, she looked over and saw Luke had stood up and stood next to Lorelai's chair, holding out his hand to her Lorelai looks at him, wondering that he's doing but he's got a weird look on his face, but she stands up anyway, then he says.
"I know that we are already engaged and also that we haven't had a lot of time together since the thing about April".
"It's okay, I understand".
"No, it's not okay".
"Anyway, since we got engaged without Rory around I wanted to do it right. So Rory if you want to say or no, will you give me your blessing?"
"Absolutely, you never needed my blessing, you know that Luke". Rory said, running over around to the other side of the table. She hugged Luke and said into his ear, "I always thought of you as my dad, you being their for us, just take good care of her".
"I will". Luke smiled at her. He always cared about her and treated her as his own, even through now he has April, he still there for Rory.
"Well since Rory agrees, well you", he get down on one knee "Lorelai Gilmore, will you marry me".
"Yes".
"and will you marry me right away"?
"Yes". Luke kisses her. While Rory and Logan asks on smiling. Eventually they walk back inside to leave Lorelai and Luke alone.
